Too bad, this is the way it's done. You vote for the guy you think is best, just like in an election.

Dont forget that there is likely a very large amount of people that come on this site to read, but do not post that often. Just because the concensus of the regular posters is one thing, doesnt mean there isnt a large amount of people that read and vote on polls in this site. Its likely why several of you are surprised by the results.

It's also the best way to generate conversation about the players. There are going to be selections that all of us disagree with at some point.

Sproul. He has the physical attributes to make him an amazing prospect.

Amazing player. He already is a prospect. Also I think we can wrap this one up so we can get to our next run off between Mrazek and Sproul.

He is an amazing prospect because he has physical attributes. Amazing prospects can develop into amazing players. He is obviously a prospect but he is not necessarily an amazing prospect.

I think it is correct every which way.

I'm surprised Mrazek is having such a strong showing in this and the past couple of polls after McCollum came up to GR and fell flat. Everything Mrazek has accomplished so far reflects well on him, but we haven't had the best of luck with many goalie prospects. On either side of Howard there is a decent sized list of goalies who just didn't pan out, regardless of how well they looked early in their development.

Ya pretty sure McCollum was more accomplished than Mrazek. I like Mrazek as a prospect mostly because he has the Swagger and Winning Attitude. That is worth something imo. Still I cant put a juniors Goalie this high.

His numbers were better, but he wasn't very good in two of his three playoffs and the time he was the #1 for the USA at the WJC was a disaster. There were signs he didn't do all that well when the competition stepped up.

Can we wrap this up, and go to #9?

Also how many prospects are we looking to do this year?

Think this one is over now, we can move on to #9.

Ferraro and Backman tied with the most mentions. I had both as candidates and really have no idea how to separate this. Ferraro had a nice bounce back year, Backman had a great development year and gold at the WJC. Since neither is likely to get votes for a little bit, I think I will just throw up Backman his name has been appearing for the last several rounds.
