what have they done to gut the bench? Who is gone and replaced by xy?

Last I heard is getting Hinrich back. Something I really like and prefer over Watson

Sox piling it on in the 6th, now up 6-1 and still threatening.

Tigers down by 5...

I am getting sick of Ventura leaving Sale in games beyond 100 pitches ,, That he doesn't need to stay in (Such is a 6-1 lead in 7th)

Sale either is going to make it or not as a starter. If you have to handle him with kid gloves, then ultimately it won't work out no matter what you do.

I like Hinrich over Watson but they also lost several other good bench pieces

-Asik is gone to Houston (Bulls didn't match offer sheet)
-Korver gone (traded)
-Lucas is gone (Signed with Tor as FA)
-Brewer is gone (Signed with Knicks as FA)

Bulls replaced them with
-PG Nate Robinson
-SG Marco Belinelli (Decent player with Korver like abilities)
-SG Marquis Teague (Bulls 1st round pick ,, Actually like his potential)
-PF Vladimir Radmanović (Fading vet ,, Shadow of his former self)
-C Nazr Mohammed (Soon to be 35 yrs old coming off worst season of his career ,, Very little left in tank)

Belinelli and Kirk are good ,, But the departures of Asik and Brewer are brutal

Simple reality is the Bulls bench was fine ,, The teams joke of SG (Fading Hamilton) and joke of PF with horrendous contract (Boozer) are the real issues

A legit 2nd scoring option at SG has been Bulls need for sometime and they continue to ignore it

No reason to have him come on for 7th when he is already over 100 pitches in 6-1 game

This is his first full season as starter at MLB level since he was being used as pen guy

I would have pulled him too...though obviously you and I feel different about Ventura.

I hate the way he handles pitchers

That is my big gripe with him ,, Especially the young arms

For some reason he uses Sale too much and Quintana not enough (Those late 70 pitch game pulls were idiotic)

I assume you did notice our pitching staff was usually toast by September under Ozzie? I don't know if there's a worse manager in baseball at handling pitchers than Ozzie was.

Chris Sale is now 14-3 with an ERA of 2.60. Keeping himself in the Cy Young race.

The Tigers are down 6-3 in the 7th. Hopefully Texas holds on and builds the Sox division lead to 2 games.

BWC, our bench let us down big time in the playoffs. Korver, Brewer, and Lucas were awful. Not going to miss them at all.

Finally - how about AJ scoring from 1st on a groundout?*I think it was a hit and run and he was rounding 2nd as the SS threw it to first. When he got to third, he saw that the catcher ran to backup the 1st basemen and there was no player covering home...so AJ trotted home to score the 7th run.
