Appeal has been rejected. Not surprising but damn that sucks.

David Boudia of 10m dive just sneaked in at the preliminary at 18th place.
Then he won gold in the final.

Anything can happen at the 10m it seems.
That's the one place the Chinese does not really have a stranglehold on.

no doubt, Finishing 3rd would've been huge for us, Taking home a bronze at any running event is very prestigeous. I'm extremely proud of our team, even if we got disqualified.

Can't wait fo Sochi. It'll be amazing if Canada meets the COC's goals, first in gold and total medals. I hope on these boards were a lot happier winning a ton of golds.

Some amazing moments in these games, but too many meh events. I'd rather watch the biathlon in Winter than rhythmic gymbastics and NBA pituitary freaks in the Summer games.

Same race? That makes it even more brutal. Does that mean 3rd place should have gone to 5th place?!?

On a straight away it doesn't matter as long you don't interfere with the runner beside you.

It's quite amazing how fast the games have come and gone. Despite all the controversies, I've quite enjoyed the Olympics over the past two weeks. Most of these sports I'll never watch again for another 4 years, but for the time they are on during these two weeks I feel emotionally invested in them (particularly the ones that Canada is involved in). Since these are only played every 4 years, there is definitely a sense of history being made. At the time in 1936 when Jesse Owens won gold, everyone knew it was a big moment, but I'm not sure everyone knew that almost 80 years later people would still be talking about it as a defining moment. Even something more recent, 1996 Donovan Bailey's gold medal and world record: I remember watching this live, but had no idea how magical/historical that moment would be for Canadian track. We have witnessed history with Michael Phelps, and Usain Bolt. I think the moments we have witnessed the past two weeks will be looked back on for decades ahead.

I look forward to 2014 in Sochi, and 2014 in Rio.

My personal favourite moment from these Olympics? When they showed clips from Vancouver 2010.

Very true, I feel like I don't appreciate just how big a deal what those two did is.

Glad I got to watch some of the races, so I can bore grandkids with how great "that Usain Bolt was"

To be fair, I was at our closing ceremonies and was kinda bored. Although this was just after we won Gold in hockey so I kinda wanted to be outside partying, but I don't think the closing ceremonies is that big of a thing.

Muse is playing the closing ceremonies! (though I guess for some people that just makes it worse...)

...but they're probably playing that song they wrote for the olympics... not a huge fan personally :\

EDIT: Or did they already play? I'm not really watching it live
