I am surprised people had such a hard time finding the stuff. Back then, there was a company called, "SportsWon". When a team won a championship, they would set up small shops all over the market and sell tons of stuff. They would go to empty store fronts and get a short term rental. They must have had 25 places set up in June and July of 94 on Long Island alone. I also remember them setting up for the 90 Giants, the 96 Yanks. Not sure when they stopped.
Last april, at a show at Hofstra a guy was selling them for $5 each. I grabbed the last two.
i have one in a locked case along with various items from the cup run.
i had another one that i never wore because lets be honest it is one of the worst looking hats ever created. i'll see if i still have it.
These 2 are my dad's hats. He has more of the replicas but the other is special. He said he found it at a Modell's, in '94, and it was the only one there. It is a very rare find.

So true man, they are ugly as hell.

These come up on eBay from time to time. Sometimes people have them as a Buy It Now instead of an auction and you won't have to pay $100+. I have one of the hats (as of now I can't bear to part with it) but I have shirts - never worn, tags on, etc. - that I would be.
I need a new hat in general. I wore one of my early 90s hats to the Caps game 4 and people actually stopped me and asked me if my hat was older than they were.
Those are not the same as the ones they are wearing in the picture there. That year there was a genuine one that the Rangers actually wore and a different one they sold in the stores.
Look closely and see!
Yeah they made ones that had Champions in orange which were the locker room ones and then ones with Stanley Cup in orange.
Update: Yess!! Just won an ebay auction for the hat, paid $27.50 with shipping! I'm so pumped! A hat that I bid on earlier in the week sold for like $70. According to the seller it is from a storage auction, and in the pictures still has tags and is "new". **** yeah!
And yes, it is the replica, with CHAMPIONS in white, but I don't care! haha under $30 is a steal!

yea, i was in on the one that went for 70 earlier in the week too. atleast i know this one went to a good home lol
I have been looking for one on ebay forever haha, and they always end up 60, or 70 +, not worth for a hat. haha sorry for getting it, but thanks for the kind words!
Graves gave one of the on-ice versions to my brother back in 1994. I got a signed picture, poster and some other stuff. Being seven years old, I didn't think to ask for a hat. Classic mistake.
