Quite disgruntled by the result although not really surprised. However, I'd like to point out that while the save was good, the shot wasn't that great. A low shot would of had a way better chance of going in.
Gotta feel for the Canadian Men's 4X100 team, the women's soccer team (although they ended on a good note), the way Simon Whitefield's career likely ended and the canadian girl in the triathlon.
Its too early to say what I'll remember about these olympics, but if you were to ask me right now, it's a bitter pill.

China's medals to Olympic participant ratio is unreal, literally at around 10% of participants winning gold. They also evenly win across the board unlike the US who rack up vast majority of their medals in two sports (Swimming and Athletics)

As a country Canada really doesn't care much for the summer Olympics. Up here when it comes to the Olympics there truly is only one event that our entire country cares about gold in and that is mens and womens hockey other than that we just don't have the same passion I didn't watch one event other than the womens football game against the US. I just do not care about the Olympics.
You will find it interesting that the IOC gives the US some 400+ million dollars in ad and broadcast revenu and no other country gets this kind of money from the IOC.
Nice closing ceremonies featuring British music. Surprised no Stones, Police, Zeppelin, Elton or Clapton though. I would've expected to hear all these guys or at least brief clips of them. No matter though, it was a good ceremony.

As led zeppelin is one of my fave bands of all time they broke up a while ago and will never ever play together again

I would rather money put into health care, ensuring our countries remains strong economically, etc then have them waste ridiculous amounts of money so for two weeks every four years, i can fist pump that we have the best equestrian rider in the world.

One of the many reasons why I'm really hoping Toronto doesn't win an Olympic bid. If they win it, Canada will be forced to spend on it like they did for Vancouver.
