It's expected that Abeltshauser will be back in Halifax this fall: http://metronews.ca/sports/253148/sh...to-mooseheads/

To clarify what I said earlier: for the 2012-13 season, Halifax's two Import players will be Abeltshauser and Frk. Halifax will no doubt prefer to keep both of those players over Sorensen.

I'm agreeing with you. It sounded like he expected KA to return for the 2013-14 season which won't happen.

well definitely not since his overage year is this year.

According to the roster he's still 179 and Drouin is still 176. They used the listings from their seasons rather than new measurements. And Drouin even told people he's 190 now so this is definitely off.

Which is why I said he is wrong to assume he's going to be back for the 2013-14 season. He will obviously be playing pro..

I was talking about the updated heights and weights in the media guide.

http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.php...44/la_id/1.htm

Duclair mentionned they measured them at the camp in an article and said he was now at 181. In the roster he's written as being 181.

Drouin is 5'10 and 187.
MacKinnon is 6'0 and 182.

Duclair will destroy the league....

It's unlikely they'd want Sorensen over either of those two. Next summer, after Abeltshauser heads to the pro leagues? Certainly, but not now.
I doubt the Moose have much interest in Sorensen at all unless Frk is expected to make the Red Wings next fall. The Moose traded for Sherbrooke's 1st round Euro pick next season which should be fairly high.

With the way Detroit develops prospects, expect 2 more years out of Frk in Halifax. Their import pick will be to replace Albeltshauser.

A player that was drafted out of the Canadian Hockey League can play in the AHL if he is 20 years old by December 31 of the current season. He turns 20 in October of next year so he is eligible for it next year.

Does anyone have the roster for Moose rookie camp that was today (Aug.16th). I want to put names to the numbers that were there.

Nevermind, I found the answer I was looking for... http://metronews.ca/voices/the-q-fil...-roster-sheet/

The line of Dominic Bauchimin (2 goals), Max Lindsay (2 goals as well), and Brandon Pye looked really good out there. Weegar and Gazzola both looked good, skate well, good size.

Bauchimin is also a big kid and looks really mature. I can see him fillling a similar role to Cote last season. Would not be surprised to see Him and/or Lindsay stay on for the whole season.

Red squad was much less impressive, but Brian Lovell has gotten huge, definitely stood out. Daigle looked alright in net, but hes got his work cut out for him if he wants the backup job this year.

The way he was being described on twitter was that he was a big frame with wheels. Other then that I am also interested in learning more about him.

Lovell worked hard all summer in the gym....He's a smooth skater with good shot and a nasty streak. Alcade is a tank....you'll love him.

That's great news. I'm really looking forward to watching Alcade, by his stats he sounds like he's very built. Hopefully I can go see them on Saturday.

Nono I know his overage season would be this year ( Abeltshauser ) its just you don't normally see Euros returning for their overage years. Also if they wanted to upgrade their offence and add more depth they could deal Konrad and acquire Nick Sorensen.

Beauchemin confirmed. I told you earlier in this thread that Beauchemin would probably made the team. Very good hockey player.
