Henrique for Ladd? I think wpg would consider that if nj offered henrique.

A first rounder from edm would be huge! The jets would likely make this trade.

It's funny how much Ladd flies under the radar on here most of the time. He has scored 28 and 29 goals the last two seasons but if those were 30 goal seasons everybody would be gushing all over him for being a 30 goal scorer who can hit and fight.

It would be very bad for Winnipeg to trade him unless it's for a massive overpayment. He was the first player to come over, scout the organization, and report back to everyone else on the team. He did this with his own money. He's had nothing but great things to say about Winnipeg. He's become part of the community. He's our captain.

Take all of that into account, and tell me that it's smart of us to trade him for Henrique. It would send a terrible message about this team.

Not a single proposal so far to even consider moving our captain

Not going to happen.. The captain stays put! Unless it's a Malkin.. But you wouldn't do that so.. Ladd stays

Many of the proposals on here seem to suggest Ladd is a highly valued player IMO.

Ladd is a great player, I'd trade Teuvo+ to winnipeg to get him back.

Really? If I'm the Jets I take that and run. Paajarvi still has sick potential and a potential lottery pick?

Ladd still brings alot to the table. I like Paajarvi, but I sincerely doubt that the 1st is a lotto pick this season. Maybe. But I doubt it.

I get that, and if the Jets were in a win now mode I'd support that idea. Seeing as there not adding two top prospects would be ideal. Many people said the same about Edmonton's pick last year and look where they ended up.

So I guess the Jets could get Sharp for a 3rd rounder, because that's essentially what the Hawks gave up to the Flyers for him?

Really? Ladd is the Jets captain and the odds are that he won't be traded unless it was part of a deal for someone like homeboy Jon Toews.

People really are underestimating Ladd's worth to the Jets if they think they'd trade their captain in exchange for a pick and what are essentially a couple of prospects.

I think Ladd is a great leader. I also think his wrist shot is lethal and confuses a lot of goalies. Good skater, good hitter, will drop the mitts, and great for the community. Everything you want in a Captain.
That being said, Winnipeg fans know the one dark side to Ladd.

I was angry we dealt him, but in reality I think trading him helped his career really start to take off. (Thanks to our brilliant coaching, Ladd was a third line grinder, as soon as he was dealt away he scored 12 pts in 20 games, and he had 18 pts in 43 games prior.)

That's a bunch of spare parts. Quantity does not equal quality. Weber and Kristo are passable players, but they wouldn't replace what Ladd brings. Habs fans are trying to give away Bourque so I won't really comment on him.

The reality is Wheeler takes more o-zone penalties then Ladd does but as I'm sure your aware, speaking in facts tends to get you nowhere around these parts.

True about the number of penalties, but Ladd's always seemed to stand out because they would be hooking (99% of the time) with just under 10 minutes to go in the 3rd. The timing was bad, but he did that only a few times, not as often as you would think with the way some fans reacted.

I can't see a team offering enough for him considering how important he is to the Jets. To think they got him for an average D prospect (Vishnevskiy) and a 2nd round pick.

no kidding, that was almost a Shero worthy steal (I still don't get how dallas gave up Neal AND Niskannen for goligoski)
