Yes, so you've said repeatedly, and yet he's still on the list.

He has great size and uses it very well cutting off the angle is his biggest strength considering itnwasnone of the areas he needed to work on during his draft year. He doesn't really excel in anything, but doesn't have a huge weakness shooters can expose. He is also a perfect hybrid between blocking and athletic style goalers, picture between Reimer and Cam Ward.

The last few season there is no doubt in my mind he was of the top 3 goalers in the WHL. Just don't be surprised if he has a very solid training camp.
Thanks, maybe you have some more words about him and his game or character?

I think they are talking Mattsson, not Mattson.

I can't find the big goalie Johan Mattsson on the list

maybe you include Martin St.Pierre too? He is as much as a prospect as Hutton is

Hey, you never know...

Antti Niemi, 25 years old
Rockford: 18-14-3, .913 SV%

Carter Hutton, 26 years old
Rockford: 22-13-4, .917 SV%

He is just a late bloomer like Niemi and clearly will help us win the Cup. Hey, I can dream right?

Niemi wasn't a prospect too

he was a UFA goalie out of europe.

Hutton is too old to be considered a prospect according to HF

I'm a big fan of Crawford as well, but Quick is by far the best goaler on 1v1 situations.

His game is like what I describe. You won't be seeing any MAF saves, because he's always in good position, but he DOES have the ability to make big saves.

Hard to find out goalers character when they're on ice. Besides goalers like Giguere who IS emotional on the ice, Simpson is more on the quiet, emotionally clam side like Price.

Hey guys is Hutton still considered a prospect? It's not like anyone has posed this question of immense significance yet.

It's getting tough to rate these guys now. How do we prioritize the characteristics to put one ahead of the other? Nutty Rob Flick is almost as likely to contribute in 2 years compared to some of the names discussed. Are we just going by talent ceiling now?

It's by a poster by poster basis. Ceiling mixed with likelihood to meet that ceiling. A future #5 defenseman that is likely to reach that potential could certainly be rated ahead of a guy that has extremely long odds of becoming a first pairing guy.

Niemi played 3 years in SM-liiga (Top professional league in Finland and one of the top leagues in World)

So he wasn't a late bloomer at all as most goalies coming from Europe have to adjust there game in NA

thanks again. Just wonder if you heard some quotes or meet him in the past.

would be interesting to hear about his character and if he acts like "the star of the team"
