The battle will be Man U vs Man C.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Tottenham (maybe Liverpool as well) will battle for the other CL spots.

Biggest surprise: Everton or Newcastle
Biggest disappointment: Aston Villa or Spurs

I also think Swansea City will be another pleasant surprise.

I agree on Spurs. AVB won't be able to do much with this team without Modric or a Modric type player. They really showed nothing against Valencia last week in their friendly.

If I was in charge I'd try my best to get Hernanes from Lazio.

EDIT:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...=feeds-newsxml

25 million is a bargain for Madrid if it's true.

Newcastle needs to be healthy in order to be a surprise this season. The added trips (hopefully) around Europe isn't going to make domestic life any easier.

Home to Spurs with (potentially) no Tiote, Coloccini, Cabaye, Ben Arfa and then away at Chelsea...oooooooof!

You guys know more than me.. Does Wolverhampton have a good shot at being promoted? I was so upset to see them demoted.

They should be up there just really depends on how they play + they haven't lost many players from last year so they have the quality to challenge for promotion

I want Brighton to get promoted this year

I dunno where Arsenal will finish this year and I dunno what will become of van Persie, Song and Walcott but I do know one thing after seeing the match versus Koln: Cazorla is a stunning player. His control with the ball at his feet while under pressure, his spraying of passes all over the field, his gorgeous corner kicks. I mean I know Spain produce these guys like a factory but watching him play with the Arsenal shirt on almost brought tears to me eyes. And yes, getting kicked around by Sunderland and Stoke is a lot different than beating up on Koln in a meaningless pre-season friendly but the guy will be a huge difference maker for Arsenal. Cannot wait till Wilshere gets fit and back in game shape because the thought of those two controlling the ball in the midfield is mouth-watering.

As for my predictions...I actually think Liverpool will be the surprise package and at the very least grab 5th spot ahead of the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle if not compete for a CL spot. For once I think they made patient, wise moves in the summer that weren't about signing big names or over-priced, in-form players who suddenly lose it. Rogers is a positive influence and in Borini and Allen he's purchased two young guys with lots of promise who can step into his lineup seamlessly. Add in Sterling and some other youngsters and I think they are actually rebuilding the right way now and I think the infusion of youth and optimism will carry them past a few teams who appear deeper and stronger on paper, at least for this season.

Very good chance. I think they'll be the only ones to bounce straight back up, as Blackburn are a shambles and Bolton have some financial problems that could have serious consequences as the season carries on. I believe Cardiff and Brighton will be the other two to get promoted.

Anybody but Leeds would be fine with me, I'd rather not have to look at Warnock's gob in the top flight again. Or Diouf's for that matter.

Norwich, Saints, and West Brom are going down IMO.

Fergie in the Background (I don't really know if its him, I'm just joking around, supposing its him)

After the game vs Koln

Don't leave, stay!!!

I don't think Robin will be as good with any other team. Just my 2 cents, but Arsenal made van Persie who he is today, and his teamates helped him by having trust in him. If he goes to United, he won't be as much of a "center piece" of the club since Rooney will remain the focal point

My predictions for this season:

1. Man City
2. Man U
3. Arsenal
4. Chelsea
5. Tottenham
6. Liverpool
7. Newcastle
8. Everton
9. Sunderland
10. Stoke
11. Fulham
12. QPR
13. Swansea
14. Norwich
15. West ham
16. Aston Villa
17. Reading
18. Wigan
19. WBA
20. Southampton

As a city fan, it was a tough decision putting City in first, but the team has so much depth.

Also, I don't have as much knowledge of the bottom as I do the top, so I might have a couple teams too low or high.

I personally expect Aston Villa to finish in the top 13

Their annual charge out of the relegation zone is one of the biggest reasons why the EPL is my second favorite league after the Bundesliga.
