Projected defense at start of season:

Timonen - Schenn
Coburn - Timonen
Timonen - Timonen
Gervais (Timonen wearing a jersey with 'Gervais' on it)

I see that as a threat more than anything. At least it shouldn't be with the Flyers after this year.

Agreed. Hope Bourdon/Gustafsson/Manning seizes this opportunity and claims a place full time from here on.

Timonen-Coburn
Grossman-bourdon
Gus-Schenn
Gervais-Manning
Walker-Lauridsen

Lilja

This is where he should be on our depth chart cause hes trash/shouldnt be on an NHL Roster. No one should care about this.

Perhaps Holmgren was initiating some game theory with the Weber signing. Either obtain a top 5 defenseman in the league or increase the chance of a lockout with the absurdity of the cash flow in the contract. Either way, it gives the Flyers the best possible outcome.

The flyers do not want a lockout. They are one of the only teams that makes a healthy profit every year.

They make a profit but depends on how you define healthy. Ed Snider makes 50x on his other companies than what the Flyers bring him. He would miss watching his team play and chase a cup more than the money.
