This the same record where you said Alexander Radulov was only coming back to Nashville to burn this ELC and then sign in Montreal or a different one?

As i'm on record , he will be the Habs first 100 pt man in a long time .

He'll get 100 pts in a season before he is done .

Get the extension done now...
I like Pac but 100 pts is a stretch. I think he will peak up at around 35 goals/70-75pts which is already more than decent.

Hudler is not a consistent 25 goal guy. He's a 20-goal guy who happened to shoot almost 20% one year.

A consistent 25-goal guy is easily worth 5+ mil.

Absolutely. Add the fact that Hudler played on a team with Datsyuk and Lidstrom. We'll see how he does with the Flames.

I would prefer cap hits to look like 4.49M. That way you always feel like you got a bargain.

I love Patches and all but some of you are starting to sound like Leafs fans grossly overrating a guy just because he's our best forward prospect in ages? 100 points? You know how difficult that is in the modern NHL?

:-P

I was hoping you'd do. Now, do you think it is somewhat grounded to hope for a 100 pts season for DD, or we are still Leaf-style delusional fans?

I'm one of the biggest Desharnais fans around but even I wouldn't guarantee an 100-point season. That's so hard in today's NHL. Stamkos only got 97-points this year.

I do definitely think Desharnais could be around a PPG player though (75-85) during his prime. Before he reaches the next step, he needs to shoot more though. He's got a good shot, but he never uses it.

Bourque? Last 4 years 21 in 58 games (29 goal pace)/27 goals/27 goals/13 goals in 38 games = 27 goals pace , then he was traded to the disastrous show that was the 2011-2012 Habs
and coming back from a suspension where he was made an example of by Shahan...what did we really expect.

At 3.3 what a bargain! Don't understand the hate for Bourque...

You sir must be drunk.
Do you think DD is one of the best 2 players (point wise) in the league? I believe only Malkin topped 100 points lat year.
I would be shocked if DD ever had an 80 point season.

Well, first off, Bourque's contract is two years old, and 3.3 million two years ago was the same percentage of the cap as about 4 million now.

(Incidentally, this is one thing that makes MaxPac's contract so ridiculously good; it would be fantastic if it started next year, but there's one more year for the cap to grow and the market to become more expensive before it starts.)

Back to Bourque; he is a weird animal. Two 27-goal seasons with shot totals to match lead one to believe that he can pot 25 consistently. But last year he was on a 19 goal pace (18 in 76) and that was par for his career shooting percentage. The problem is that he's fallen into an elevator shaft with regards to being able to hold up defensively in tough minutes with the net result that there's an unusually high amount of scoring going the other way when he's on the ice. That cuts into the value of his scoring a bit and makes it hard to put a dollar value on it.

So. If you can get the Bourque of 2009-2010, then yes, that guy is well worth five million now and his current contract would be a ridiculous bargain. The Bourque of last year isn't an albatross, but at the same time he's a third-line player. And I think that the Bourque we'll see from here on is that guy; Bourque is on the wrong side of 30 after all.

That said, his contact isn't an albatros either at this point. He can do quite well on an offensive-oriented soft-minutes line with PP time.

Even the Bourque of last year can be a nice role player worth his money if properly used for depth scoring and not expected to carry a top 6 role, unless he magically turns into prime Bourque who even then was better in a purely offensive role.

your still selling DD for dimes.....

You seen his point total this year ,and he and Pacman wasn't put together until???DECEMBER...

Martin finally clued..

He is goona get 100 pts in NHL...i know what i see..

Your the type to likely say way back Martin ST Louis is only a 40 pts man potential.

DD got something special ,open your eyes.

Habs management for some reason did one yrs and payed huge in the end ,and just not a few million either, it cost a lot ..
