Michalek, Zibanejad, 1st.

I can't see it.

There's no circumstance imo where Ottawa is giving up both the 2013 1st and Zibanejad.

Michalek and Zib for Ryan is fair. Michalek outscored Ryan last year and Zib is a top notch prospect who can play center and wing.

We aren't going to evaluate Ryan based entirely on last year.

Zib just isn't established enough to make that trade worthwhile. We'd be better off keeping Ryan and giving a similarly developed player like Holland a shot instead; or someone further along like Bonino.

Last I heard Ryan wanted out... has that changed?

If he doesn't, I agree with you, it's not worthwhile for the Ducks... but if he does want out, nobody will be overpaying for him, which is what you're looking for

Also, Zibanejad >>> Bonino, as soon as next season

Hence my overpay suggestion of what would be required, if he wanted out things would be different.

All he said is that he wanted the trade rumors to go away, and that if we were going to keep dangling him as trade bait, that he wanted us to hurry up and do it. As for whether there was any truth to those rumors, there have been denials from the Ducks. They claim it was coming from the camps bidding on Nash. Seeing as there has been little to no chatter since Nash came off the market, I'm inclined to believe that there is at least some truth to that.

I didn't say that Bonino is better than Zibanejad. I said that we'd be better off giving him or Holland a shot and keeping Ryan. In Holland's case, I think he'll be a better center than Z, but Z will be the better forward.

If he didn't put up 40 with Getzlaf and Perry he's not doing it with Spezza.

He wouldn't have Selanne keeping him out of the first unit, so I wouldn't be too hasty to rule it out.

He never wanted out. He wanted the rumors to stop.

He was 4th in ESG last year behind the Hart winner, the Art Ross Winner and Ovi. He gets no PP time. Dont talk about him since it seems like you have never seen him play.

Greening, Zibanejad and 1st.

Immediate help, top tier prospect and a 1st in a deep draft. Maybe Ottawa adds another small piece.

Ducks are looking for a 2C + good/great prospect + 1st for Ryan.

Edit - By 'looking' I of course mean 'would consider trading him for'
