RNH would have to be one of the two, personally I would take Eberle and then the pick which might be a first rounder. That is really steep. People will say not enough, but you are getting two young superstar types and a pick back for a superstar. I understand people not liking it I just said I would consider that deal. I might be higher on those two edmonton kids, some might prefer RNH and Hall or RNH and Yakupov. The point is RNH has to be in the deal though in my opinion.
Hmm, as a Canucks fan, I don't actually think there's an extremely large a gap between Stamkos and Eberle...Stamkos is ahead but not by as much as some people think IMO.
Eberle plays in the West, who's leading scorer had 81 points, and put up 76 points (4th West) and 34 goals (4th West) despite missing four games. Eberle plays with a bunch of scrubs.
Stamkos is in the East, who's leading scorer had 109 points, and put up 97 points (2nd East/NHL) and 60 goals (1st East/NHL), he played all 82 games. Stamkos plays with a fugure HHOFer in St Louis.
Try 3 of the big 4. They'd want RNh, Eberle, and Hall + . There really is no market value for Stamkos barring him demaning a trade and making it public (better yet saying he only wants to play for 1 team) to scuttle his trade value. Just wouldn't be worth it for any franchise.
Well, to give you some perspective, as an Oil fan i wouldnt consider that trade for a second. Makes the Oilers significantly worse for the year, and would likely look terrible forever. Even RNH + Eberle plus would be a very bitter pill, and would likely look like a bad trade down the road (cant see Tampa going for less than those two though).
Stamkos is just one of those players where any team acquiring him for fair value would be giving up too much to make it worth while.
Lofty price for the Oilers, but Stamkos-RNH down the middles has you set for the next decade. Wingers are easier to replace and Yakupov is the best winger prospect in the world.
It would be RNH+Ebs+2013 1st for him. You would have two former Sarnia Sting top goalscorers though. Tarasenko, Kuznetsov, and on their versatility of winger/C Granlund and JHubs I would all take over him, with the exception of Kuz, because of KHL but does have more skill.
If the Jets wanted Stamkos bad, I imagine they would offer something like this:
E. Kane + Pavelec + 2013 1st
The bolts would be nuts to not accept that offer, but I don't think we want Stamkos that bad.
I don't think that gets it done for him. Guess I am nuts, like I said the only team I can think of making an offer that I see Tampa winning in (maybe a loss real short term but the better end long-term) is the Oilers.
RNH + Hall + Eberle for Stamkos + 1st is what it would take
This is asinine. The Oilers wouldn't give that up. Stamkos is a exceptional player, but most likely in the world of the Salary cap, you will not get three roster players in a trade.
I believe actually Winnipeg has great assets to move for a player like Stamkos(I know it's not going to happen). E. Kane+Bogo+Scheifele+2 firsts+2nd+2 thirds I think is a realistic trade that could get Tampa interested.
