What are your hockey related pet peeves?

When watching a game played in Detroit on tv, the camera level is so low that people or vendors can block half the ice when walking near the camera

Yes, that is annoying. Same with people who turn to wave at the camera on the broadcast every time it goes by. More-so if you're sitting behind them.

I like that people get into hockey, but I don't like watching with casual fans who are really loud. The worst are the ones who know nothing about the game but talk about it all the time and somehow know every little piece of news, but then all they care about are which players are handsome or who they're married to.

Them: Hey did you see Henrik Loondkvest won the Vizeena?
Me: Uh, yes. Yes I did.
Them: He is so hot! He is my favorite player in the world.

People booing the opposing team's best player
People booing the ref when he makes an easy call against the home team

EDIT: and people spelling parity "parody" on HF. Drives me bonkers!

The goofballs banging on the glass throughout the game, or turning to wave like idiots at the camera every time it slides over them during play.

Also:

"OH AND IT WOULD NOT GO"... yeah, that guy.

Intentional interference on the blue line by defense that leads to offsides for attacking team.

How about Eklunds' rumors? Though even I still read them during these doldrums

In fairness, it is a bit of a parody of conventional thought that a team can make the playoffs by losing. A record of 9-0-73 could get a team into the playoffs. Imagine if that ever happened!

Sometimes I get a laugh out of seeing a guy straddling the offensive blue line getting gently shoved in. I agree though, pretty annoying play.

Oh god this thread is already reminding of all the things that make me angry.

I don't mind loud cheering and noise when the time is right, but for gods sake, DO NOT scream words like "SHOOT the puck!", "Come on patty, skate hard!" and then when something bad happens they yelling "UGH" and grab their heard and pull their hair out. Why, WHY WHYYYYY do you guys have to talk during games. Watch the game, cheer your team on and be loud when required. All othertimes, please shut the **** up.

People who claim to love and know hockey.. but don't really watch games and just watch the highlights the following day. They then go to NHL.com, read all the stats and news and boom! They are the next Bob McKenzie.

Also watching your team get a delay of game penalty never fails to get a facepalm from me
