He's a league-minimum 6'6 225 pound heavyweight who has been among the final cuts at training camp each of the last two years. He's a better player than Koci was and I think you'd like him.

No. Not with Cody signed for the next two years.

Cody is not a real enforcer. He's a middleweight. Koci did the dirty work for him from 2009-2011 and last season nobody did it at all. He ran away from Matt Kassian in Minny several times one game.

I wouldn't mind him as our 14th forward.

I'm not sure.

Last year I predicted that he would make the team out of camp because I thought that Sacco really wanted an enforcer on the roster. That said, last year we did fine without one, so I think that the days of having a true tough guy required are done for.

That said, McLeod is the only player on the roster who is a regular fighter, so I guess there is a chance he could make it, although the Avs would have to send a more skilled (and probably NHL ready) player down to the A for this to happen.

He's a great hitter and physical presence as well.

Nope, no room for him on the roster unless McLeod gets injured and even then Malone will probably be the one getting called up.

I honestly thought they would give Malone a chance at the 4th line center position but they signed Mitchell. Now that could be because they want Malone getting more ice time or it could be because they just don't feel hes ready.

McLeod sucks, but unfortunately Bordeleau is probably destined to stay with LEM indefinitely. It's too bad, because he's always impressed me during camp; the guy is a pretty solid skater.

Malone may end up on the wing at the NHL level. I think he should be a center, but his face offs aren't good enough right now.

I think the whole 4th line is going to be decided in training camp

I will say this.. He looked like more than just a goon last year in camp, that is for sure. Both him and Malone were pretty impressive down low. And like others have said.. He skates pretty well or his size.

could easily get someone on the 4th line that plays better hockey.

And with our top three lines being what they are.. I highly doubt the fourth line is going to see more than 5-7 minutes a night. With that little ice time, role players become even more important.

Right now McLeod is our tough guy, Mitchell is a face-off man and hopefully a guy we can use on the PK, and Hejduk will be getting offensive zone starts and power-play time. That still leaves Kobasew, Olver and Malone, so right now there is just no room for Bordeleau baring injury regardless.

I saw him at he LA game in Vegas last year (preseason) and he really stood out. He was mixing it up with everyone, hitting, and a pretty decent skater. He looked a whole lot better than Mueller at the time for whatever that's worth. Him and Duchene were the avs skaters that really stood out for me that game

He's a scrub that probably wouldn't get any more than Koci's two minutes a game.
