Based on what it seems king fans are asking for should the thread title be changed to value of Quick. Maybe its just me but what exactly has he accomplished to be worth something like Larsson?

Just because one person put together a whole wack of obsurd proposals doesn't mean most kings fans feel this will be the asking price. Like I have posted before, if they do then they will be let down.
Bernier is worth a mid 1st or a 2nd and a prospect IMO.
Like everyone has been saying he's Staying till Quick is 100%..I see him going at the deadline and I see a team trading over value for him....

I like what the Kings get back but the fact that they will be shoring up the weakness of the Kings biggest competition in the west in terms of youth and talent makes me pass. Value is good but there is other variables that make it an unneeded trade.
I speculate that Bernier will play. And I hope because he gets the play time, he'll shut up.
If I was going to deal him, I'd rather send him to Columbus, even though I know they got a similar goalie. I believe CBus will get more value from the players we're willing to trade, like Loktionov, and thus may be willing to give more. We could make them a big offer including JB, Lokti and more than one defenseman prospect for Ryan Murray for example. Murray is the type of prospect/young dman we need in LA...he's of the right development time and skill set to replace Scuderi and Mitchell in the near future.
Now whether or not Howson is willing to do that or if he's even still there is another story.

I don't see any way a team is going to get Ryan Murray off LA without offering a similar prospect (Top 2-3 draft pick of the last couple years, i.e. if a team were to offer Huberdeau or something) in return. A package of a solid young back-up goalie who may or may not turn out to be a #1 down the road and a tweener forward who may or not be an NHL Top 6 forward + prospect is not enough, imo.
With Penner and Gagne possibly being out of LA after this season and how thin the wing prospects are in the system I think if Bernier is moved it will be for a top 6 LW/RW (assuming Lombardi adds a piece or two).

I see Bernier being moved for a first round pick. The departure of Penner and Gagne only opens-up one top six spot, and Toffoli is on his way to filling it.

I thought this too over the summer but that's a lot to bank on Toffoli, despite his talent but health wise. I think if there's no injury bugs with the current wingers he's going to be up with the club next season but I believe Lombardi may get someone else just in case. Regardless, if DL's best return is a 1st Rd pick I'm all for it..
For some reason I just keep having the feeling that NJ will trade for him to replace Brodeur when he retires. Could see a trade to Edmonton too. I suppose Toronto is also a possibility but it sounds like they're gonna push pretty hard for Luongo, if they haven't gotten him already.
