These are my thoughts exactly. Most of my time in NHL 12 is spent playing GM Mode, and I don't play the games. If I played all the games, I wouldn't have to make many trades or changes because you can still win with a crappy team in Versus mode. It sucks the fun out of it for me because I actually enjoy managing my team.
I also agree with this. The only player that impacts your team
in versus is a goalie but besides that there is no point in trading
for good players, heck you could even make the most crappy
trade just for an amazing goalie and you would still win. I know some
people think simulating is boring but the players you've given away,
team that you have brought from the ground up and the playoff don't
matter, only your versus play does.
I'll get my fair share of Actual GP in Versus, my buddies leagues, and EASHL.
I see this as me playing Be a GM but having the luxury of having actual humans doing transactions and lineups for the other 29 teams.
When I play Be a GM I SIM every game, as I am the GM, and don't want my playing skill dictating the outcome. The Simming system in the game has come far enough the make it realistic, and although luck is a factor, it is in real life too.
