It's not about bashing, it's about covering the team and reporting things good or bad. If these guys know they won't get thrown under the bus, they aren't going to worry about how they act, they've proven that.
I was talking about owners bashing the team (or doing something similar). There's not a chance in hell that Josh Beckett would ever "worry" about the media reporting bad things about him.
I'm just waiting for this offseason when they feel like they need to do something big to keep the ratings and they sign headcase Greinke.
Won't happen because he won't come here. He's got zero interest in pitching in a market like NY or Boston, despite having a better chance of cashing in there than if he went small market.

Well, I don't know if he actually believes they're still in it. To be honest, I think he knows this team sucks and isn't going anywhere--but he can't say that.
Assuming they don't trade him, I'm excited to watch Carl Crawford play next year..
Trading one of the few good guys who works hard would be horrible if they are trying to change the culture of the room. Hes not a $20m a year player but hes still a good player.

Gammons I think or maybe Tony Massarrotti said the team doesn't think he needs the surgery but dr. andrews told Carl he was going to need it. So this is going to end up being a battle soon. I
