what a hypocrite.... david williams convinved gee to abolish the title of AD at Vandy about 9 years ago........ and now guess who is AD at Vandy....williams...
That wasn't a David Williams idea.
That was all Gee and his stupid bowtie!!
And DW has done more for athletics than anyone in recent memory
Just to reinforce the belief that nobody likes watching live football, the Titans have installed massive HD screens at either end of the field.
Whenever I go to Titans games I find myself wandering around with friends most of the time. It's so damn hard for me to sit there for an entire game, especially if it's incredibly hot (first couple of weeks) or incredibly cold out.

If they were paid for by money from ticket sales doesn't that mean the Titans paid for them?

Well, the ticket prices are set by the Titans, and the money from those tickets is collected by the Titans, so it's technically the Titans' revenue, and thus, the money was spent by the Titans directly on the improvements to LP Field. But I applaud your effort to make the Titans look evil.
It's not technically ticket revenue that paid for it, it was bonds issued by Metro Sports Authority that was funded by a "seat usage fee"... so basically part of ticket sales that went to Metro, and is now kicked back into the stadium for improvements.
I'm not sure how similar it is to the upgrades that Bridgestone underwent a few years ago, or to the next wave of expected upgrades after the convention center is complete.
Which brings me to the point, was the Preds Megatron upgrade "Just to reinforce the belief that nobody likes watching live HOCKEY"? This doesn't have to do with nobody wanting to go watch the Titans, it's that their old equipment was so terrible, most big time NCAA programs have better stadiums and video boards than what the Titans were working with. I'm pretty excited about it, though I will still prefer watching at home because the bathroom and kitchen are right there

Except that if you watch the Titans big screens they are no where near the field of play. The hockey jumbotron is atleast right above the action for a quick glance every now and then. Either way I don't spend a dime on football so I could care less. The only football I give a crap about is futbol.
Watched the final in Kansas City a few days ago. Thanks to the weather delay, I got home just in time to watch the whole thing. The penalty shootout was absolutely atrocious.
EPL starts next weekend too. I got an everton shirt on the way as we speak.
Just remember: Premiership in the morning, MLS at night, and everything's gonna be all right.
Eredivisie started yesterday. Ajax-Alkmaar later this morning, great match-up for the opening weekend. And Eindhoven dropped a 3-2 result to Waalwijk. Oopsie!
Not a soccer expert at all but it seems like winning in a country for the first time ever when you've played there for 75 years is a pretty good feat.
It's a huge monkey off the squad's back, that they can win in Azteca. It wasn't quite the same atmosphere as a World Cup qualifier, and it wasn't the same team we would face (we didn't take the same team we would play), but it's still a very important moment for the national team.
And it also irks a bunch of the obnoxious Mexican fans whose clubs beat us up in the Champions League, which is enough on its own to make me happy about it.
The more I watch/listen to local sports reports the more I am convinced that everyone is saying it wrong, and that Dan Uggla's real name is actually ColumbiaNative DanUggla.

MLS is ok, but I do wish Donovan would go to Everton for a couple of seasons. He has nothing to prove here. Plus I'm cheering for Everton so having him and Howard would be a good team to pull for as an American. I also hope Inter gets back on top in Serie A.
