Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but will Blunden get a role on the Habs starting roster? How many games do you think he'll last in the N?

Did Wang re-hire Milbury and forget to announce it?
Snow expects the cap floor to drop. He won't be taking on a salary dump like Gomez to reach the floor and sure as heck would not trade Streit, for Montreal's spare parts.
Isles have 4 pmd knocking on the door, in De Haan, Donovan, Ness and katic. Zero interest in Weber.
No thanks to Palushaj. Isles have Strome, Nino, Brock Nelson, Kabanov, Cizikas, Ullstrom, Sundstrom coming to camp, competing for a few limited roster spots.
Gomez is a Stanley Cup champ, like Doug Weight. He would be a very good influence (captain) on all the young talent. Streit is movable, because the Isles have good prospects. He is not a true #1 or 2 dman, the Isles overpaid I believe. Spare parts negotiable.

don't want to put you down really, but you are on another planet if you think the isle will go for that. not jupiter or anything that we know about, like planet X or something like that. that's how off you are
don't believe me? go post it on the main trade board and gauge the reaction

Just wondering for keeper league purposes
When injuries hit the regulars, he could get some games. It might depend on how much Therrien likes him. Blunden looked like a completely different player under Cunneyworth than under Martin last season, I thought his progress was Cunneyworth's only real success. I don't think there's anything preventing Blunden from leading the Palushaj/Nokelainen/Geoffrion pack, if he takes another step forward and the others don't.

Who are yo kidding?
34/35 yr old Streit will be asked to mentor 1-2 of the blueline rookies. Like he did Hamonic/MacDonald.His $4.1m salary is very reasonable.
Gomez is a cap dump. The press says there are about a dozen gms below the current cap flor, including Snow. These gms expect the floor to drop when the new cba is in place. Isles won't trade anything of value for Gomez.
Weber has zero value to the NYI. Isles had 3 pmd rookies, play in Bridgeport this season.
Dononvan was 4th among all d-men in pts. De Haan was named to the all-star team.
Ness showed smarts and poise during a brief 8 game or so call up.
Isles have their own prospects, pushing for nhl spots. No interestin trading Streit for another prospect.
What would it take to get huberdeau to mtl? If we have a problem with subban, could a deal be worked out with florida? What kind of deal would be fair to both teams?
And I'd rather keep Gally too, he makes everyone around him better while Hubs needs to be spoon fed by his linemates. Something about him stinks but I don't know what. I wasn't impressed by him in the Canada-Russia challenge as I should have been.

ill one up you and say that even though he eventually got a good amount of points, i thought he played like **** at the challenge
OMG Stop with the Huberdeau to MTL threads!!! I firmly believe Galchenyuk will be the better player anyways. Hubs will probably be good, but he still is only like 175 lbs. Gally is already 200. I think Huberdeau will be a bit fragile in the NHL.
lets just not kid ourselfs, if Huberdeau wasn't french, we wouldn't have this discussion.
Huberdeau isn't available, he's a core player for the Panthers.
Skill Galchenyuk is a better overall player than Huberdeau.
Huberdeau has potential to score more goals but Galchenyuk is more complete.
Huberdeau needs someone to pass him the puck. He's a finisher.
Galchenyuk has superb playmaking skills.
Yeah if we have both Galchenyuk and Huberdeau they compliment each other.
Since it became a gally vs hubs discussion hubs has crazy skill but he chooses when he wants to make something happen where gally doesnt stop Id love to have both but Hubs would cost way too much and is probably an untouchable

Panthers fans have made it abundantly clear that they lack center depth and Hubs is primed to start in the NHL and play a big role for them this coming season. Dunno about the impact he will have on their team but it will be interesting for sure to follow his progression.

Honestly maybe it's just me but i've never ever been impressed with Huberdeau

If we have a problem with Subban it should be worked out, not trade him.
I like Huberdeau but I wouoldn't trade Subban straight up for Huberdeau and Florida's 2013 1st. He would be a nice guy to have but no way Florida trades him at a price that's worth our while(like straight up for Beaulieu), so not worth it.
