Patrick Roy, Mario Tremblay, Guy Carbonneau, Vincent Damphousse, François "Ottawa" Gagnon...

PS Why can't RDS lure Dany Dubé within its rank?

Martin's natural charisma will bring in more viewers than plain ole' boring Patrick Roy.

Roy understood how it goes in this business.

Have public appearance in sport shows, and THEN get hired as a Head Coach. You know, just like Therrien.

I doubt that's the reason why he made that move. More likely tired of answering to phone calls on two competing sports network offering if you ask me.

I wonder what happened to all the Martin apologists who were saying he would be in the NHL in 2013 ? He is in his right place...retirement.

RDS presented him as the owner, DG and head coach of the Quebec Remparts... so my guess is both.

Yeah that's the first thing I thought of then came the idea RDS should hire Ronald Corey also and make it complete.

Roll back the clock and let them finally have it out LIVE ON RDS.

l'Antichambre will become the RDS Maury Povich show.

Get over it.

He said one time Guillaume should come back in the Q as he didn't have much ice time at 19.

Looking back now, he was probably right, Guillaume should have been in the Q.

So Bell hires Roy and does it mean Paledeau will not get an nhl team is short term? And maybe a falling out between Roy and Paledau?

By that logic why did the Habs replace him with a coach that was unemployed for 4 years?

Roy has never been friends with Peladeau. People saying he's the next Nordiques coach are dreaming.

Roy is friends with Desmarais (Power Corp). One of the Desmarais is part owner of the Remparts. Power Corp is a competitor of Quebecor.

Although it would be awesome, he's already with Cogeco sports and Radio-Canada on TV. Martin McGuire would be cool too

Thank-you for the response. But were there not rumours that Paledeau owner of Quebecor would hire Roy as next coach if he were to get a team?
