I hear ya man, but you're doing what needs to be done to get ok seats at an ok price. Now that the relocation process is online and not a one-shot deal, every one has a legit shot to improve each year

Just got an email from the Knicks that there will be no preseason games in MSG this season. First game in MSG will be home opener vs Miami. Accounts will be adjusted to reflect 41 games (44 games was invoiced).

I think this means the 2nd phase of the renovation is behind schedule.

Are you sure about that...I thought the Rangers home opener on Oct. 12 was the first event after the renovation. Pretty sure the north american NBA pre-season schedule starts right around that date.

Home opener is November 1 and will now be the first Garden event with the new Upper Bowl. The original Knicks PS games would've been the first.

But with the likelihood of a lockout, the Knicks opener on November 2nd would likely be the first event.

I saw that too, I couldn't be happier because this will save me a pile of cash with my extra seats this year. Preseason is almost a guaranteed 50%+ loss

Hey Gecko how did MSG handle the NBA lockout last year in regards to season ticket payments? Did they just stop them until the new CBA was announced?

After the lockout was announced, the Knicks sent you a letter to tell you that they were going to stop charging the monthly payments to your credit card until the situation was resolved. Whatever money you had paid to date was treated as a loan to MSG and they sent you a check every once in a while for an interest payment (don't get too excited, it was something like 1%).

They assumed that the lockout would end so that the cost of games to be played would be more than you had already paid so the payment plan would kick in again for the balance owed. Otherwise, the Knicks were going to give you the option of getting a refund or keeping the overpayments as an account credit for future invoices

What you see is what you get from the Earthcam, I am afraid. MSG has not had much to share about the project with the media, far less than what the Devils provided during the construction of Prudential Center. And any construction or contract staff members that have gotten pictures and posted them have tended to "disappear" in a sketchy way.

Just the Dolans being the Dolans.

Just wondering if anyone has been contacted yet regarding seat assignments for their partial plans. A co-worker of mine who has had a 10 game plan for five years and he hasn,t heard anything yet. He called this morning and was told that he might have to accept lower bowl seats at over $100 per ticket(he was in 340 last year.)

Yea, screw that... Guess we'll have to wait for the Rangers to be bad again in another decade..

Yea noticed the wood planking is gone...that means no more cranes or anything heavy

As for the bowl, everything is basically in place, pretty sure they just have to paint it and then start the seats. I think we will start seeing seats go in by september 1st.

Doesn't look like they painted the concrete where the seats are going to be installed, only the stairs. However, they painted the concrete where the seats are in the lower bowl.
