In the last lockout, it was night and day for Teemu pre and post lockout.
He had time to rehab, and came back a brand new player.
Markus Naslund was probably already in decline after the Moore hit, and his friend Bertuzzi's situation.
However, the lockout did not help an aging player like himself. He just lost a year, and it went downhill.
Who do you think will take advantage of some time off, and who will get stabbed right in the middle and not recover post lockout

No one because I don't think they'll be a lockout.

Iginla will be the Naslund. He's currently still good but declining, and Calgary just keeps looking worse and worse so a lockout would probably end his days as a top tier player.

Lecavalier would be Selanne. (just a feeling)
I think the Sedins could actually end up being Naslunds, but they are still pretty young.
Maybe St. Louis?

Agreed. The 3 that come to mind for me are Hemsky and Whitney coming back strong and Iggy being all but done

A lockout would help Crosby, I'd imagine.

Apparently Iginla will be an awful hockey player a year from now.

Yeh, the last time there was a lockout, Hemsky put up 77 points the next season.

Would have to think a year away from hitting would do Crosby a lot of good. He'll still be well within his prime with another year of healing under his belt.

It would be great for him. He's just not the player he was a year and a half ago

Jagr is already so far away from his prime and up in age that it's moot. Naslund had career years right before the lockout.

Funny that the oiler fan thinks that hemsky and Whitney will come back better while iginla will be "done".
You do realize iginla is probably in better physical shape then any of the oilers right?

I could see Iginla being the new Naslund if he doesn't play during the lockout like he did last time, but I think he will have learned from his mistake and play in the AHL or ECHL.

Maybe the QMJHL, the competition is easier there.

Morrow will most definitely gain a ton from a lockout with his injuries.

I could see Hejduk's career taking a big hit if we miss another season.
