From what I've seen and read these seem like decent top-end projections:
Knight - Callahan (Maybe Dustin Brown if his shot continues to improve)
Spooner - Derek Roy
Hamilton - Rob Blake is his absolute ceiling. A Brent Burns type is maybe more realistic.
Koko - Seems to have a bit more jam than a lot of other Russians, so it's hard to find a good comparison. Reminds me a bit of Ladislav Nagy.

Knight - Brian Gionta
Hamilton - Scott Niedermayer
Koko - Jaromir Jagr

Knight is feeling very good (ankle healed) and should be a fun watch in Providence with Spooner, Trotman, Camper, Khudobin and the rest of that crew. Not sure if the Bruins send Seguin down since he is on a rookie contract, but it did not stop Spezza, Richards, Bergeron, Ward, Staal and many, many other NHLers (infact 4 of the Flames who played in the 7th game of the SC finals that spring were on the Lochmonsters) from playing in the AHL last lockout after many played full seasons in the NHL the year before.

How hilarious will it be to watch Seguin, Spooner, and Knight playing in the AHL. Dougie can't but the others all can.

I actually considered that comparison for Spooner. Not sure I see it with Koko--just doesn't quite have the wheels (yet).

If Nik Backstrom wasn't so good, I think he'd be a good comparison for Koko.

Very very slim chance.its just one of those things that won't be changnged, it would hurt the CHL too much to loose guys like Dougie to the Ahl.

As of right now...there is zero saying Dougie cannot play in the AHL, if no CBA was agreed upon before the season starts, there would still be nothing saying Dougie can't play in the AHL.

That's my understanding.
it would be sick to watch him play 25 minutes a night in providence/worcester/springfield yep yep

There is a chance, but from what I read it's very slim. The CBA and the NHl agreements are tied together, but not the same thing. From what i read the CHL expects the NHL to honor its agreement in the case of a lockout.

Knight potential Randy Burridge type guy??

Spooner? Haven`t seen enough of him, all I have read from trusted contributors say has elite puck skills, see`s the ice incredibly well..........a very premature comparison to our buddy Savvy as far as what skills he possesses perhaps? Fully acknowledging the kid has more than a long ways to go to earn that but....

Hamilton- Rob Blake??

Knight - Knight

Subban - Subban

Payne - Payne

Camara - MacDermid

Sorry couldn't resist. Don't really like making comparables, but you can pretty much make an argument for all the comparables listed in the thread. I guess for those that don't get to see enough of a prospect, making a comparable is the best way to know what we are looking at in a young player.

It'll come faster than you think Dan. Training camps start tomorrow for GOJHL so I'll be at it again starting tomorrow. One busy week ahead.

It'll be a good game to see. Will have my top 20 prospects out next week from the OHL and quite possibly (not giving it away) 3 of the top 10 will be in that game including JORDAN Subban who i've labelled the best Subban of the three.

Let me know the dates when you've confirmed. Maybe we can take in a couple of games !
