I played juniors back in the 60's. I was quick but lost a few teeth. Those old masks kept you from getting cut and that was about it. Some of my best memories though. I used to also play open hockey at Iceland. It was over off Riverside. Long, long time ago.

Hockey did serve me well though in my ministry. Though some of those older women were scarier than some of those scary guys I played against.

I'd imagine it had to do with goaltending while wearing a fiberglass mask. After a while, praying every 20 seconds for bad things not to happen becomes second nature.

Regardless of any teasing even God may get on this board even liberals as myself are thankful to those of your retired profession... As for those older women, you simply filled a void in their life at the time, you did your job... You’re a good person Chris...

Now that's funny. Though I don't remember calling upon God while I was playing, though I might have used his name in a diffferent manner, if you know what I mean.

Lee I kind of felt a calling since I was a kid to do that type of work. It's really not too easy to explain. I guess there was a void and a tug of sorts.

And Robert those old women were usually the ones telling me about the little ones not behaving properly, or they didn't like the color of the carpet. I was a pretty liberal theologian, which got me into a lot of hot water.
