I Hate my job (too repetitive) but at least the money is there.
I've done warehousing all my life. I've never done customer service, never worked in an office. All I've done is manual labour from shipping and recieving to order picking in freezer warehouses, I also worked at 3-4 am doing the UPS loading. I mean sometimes the pay is good, sometimes it sucks.

Looking back you worked on machining I believe. I just checked, grinding. I never did that, I have limited experience with machining operations. I'm actually doing a course regarding machining now. Finished using Lathes, Drill presses and all that stuff for pretty much my first time. I've used drills in the past obviously, but not on more heavy duty machinery. It's different.

I suppose I would be more open to machining at this point as its something new but I think the ship already sailed. I have 2 years left of school and will have an internship next summer. I always liked manual labour/warehousing type jobs because you do your thing and no one bothers you and you don't need to bother anyone. Unfortunately when you do it long enough you get fed up(as you said, repetitive). They aren't bad jobs, good honest work. The only problem is I went back to school so I could find different work, I think I have it set in my head it's the past for me unless the fit is perfect. At this point with 2 years left(after doing 3 years already) I think i'll just finish and enter the job force quicker. I don't blame you for doing it your way though. I'd rather full time school+part time work at this point though.

Edit: if you really want to have fun, you can play with 3d dynamically deformable scenes, which is the basis for interactive medical simulation, in which case, you might want to play with SOFA, which is truly open-source. http://www.sofa-framework.org/ http://www.sofa-framework.org/tutorials .
I'm actually using 3ds max. I want to learn it because my dream is to be in the video game industry. Next year, I have to search for my own internship to complete the program. I want to snag one at any video game company. I download a whole bunch of video tutorials. I wonder if I can learn more from attending a class or paying for private sessions.

I've played NHL 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 07, 09, 10, 11, 12 extensively.

Had the NHL 2001 demo.

NHL 2002 was my first, then I went back to 2000.

YES.

I try to play other games because I like them, but I get sucked into sports games too. My current lineup includes NHL, Madden, and The Show. I'm trying to get back into Assassin's Creed and Deus Ex.

Sorry. Damn, I cringe with the bragging of saying this this but I had a 4.0 in first year science at McGill before architecture. It was not that hard, just first year, but do you mean to say I could have had a '4.33'. WTF? When did that happen? Piss me off.

Don't worry, it's still 4.0 at McGill

It's actually the same concept really.

McGill has no A+, they start at A, which is a 4.0.

Concordia and other schools have A+, which is a 4.33, but their A is also a 4.0.

McGill, you get an A from 85%-100%. Concordia you get A+ from 90%-100% and A from 85%-89%.

So it really comes down to the same thing except for labelling. McGill likes to say that students who have 85 and above all belong to the same range, while Concordia likes to pretend that the extra 5% you got towards 90%+ makes you that much better, and nets you a nice 4.33.

It's actually 4.3 and yah, to convert just change your A+s to As.

Thanks. I am comforted. A 4.33 just sounds so Spinal Tap. You think volume 10 is great, and them suddenly there's volume 11!

Oops, yeah. I just checked it again. That is a bit weird. I mean I stole a very small teddy bear from by daughter when she was 1, and I bring it on business trips for fun, but yeah, that Avatar is not looking good. I feel like I just tweeted Hannibal Lecter. Off for a shower.

Still, I like the weird post. Let's see where this goes.

I got ya beat! I'm an owner if NHLPA 93 till NHL 12! If you never tried 93, get it for its wrap arounds on the bottom net (way easier to score then 94 wrap arounds which were pretty easy)

If its brazzers I have a friend doing site marketing.

I'm working in a concrete batch plant for the next 3 month, been there 2 days and I'm learning a **** load. Hell I'm becoming a lot more mechanically inclined, that's for sure. I couldn't even spot the valve on the ice making machine... LOL

Oh yeah and in just a few days I'm leaving for St-John N.B to get on a train (Canadian Pacific's Track Evaluation Car) where I will work for 4 months as an intern. We will be traveling all over Canada and the United States to analyze the tracks and make sure they're safe etc.

tbh, I'm terrified but I need the challenge
