There will be no TV or radio coverage of the 2012 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament.
That sucks... I checked on fast hockey, doesn't seem like they're carrying it either. Unless te games will be added at a later date.

no disrespect to Finland, they are a very respectable oponent in any hockey tournament but I'm not suprised at this lost. They can't even pick the best available players anymore. I've been questioning Nurse as a pick over other available players.
here is what Nurse did in the second period... 01:28 CAN 2 Darnell Nurse (Checking from Behind) 03:28 CAN 2 Darnell Nurse (10-Minute Misconduct)
10:47 CAN 5 Damon Severson (Tripping)
14:01 CAN 11 Branden Troock (Slashing)
14:01 FIN 22 Janne Juutinen (Slashing)
17:43 CAN 27 Adam Pelech (Holding) 18:17 CAN 2 Darnell Nurse (Charging) (PP goal for Fin)
reminds me of the discipline Owen Sound had going into the first 4 games of the playoffs.
Well that was then, this is now. What I saw tonight was a disciplined Nurse, fast, strong and smooth skater. He was going against the Mackinnon line and won most of the battles. He's improved a lot. They had him play with Ekblad

I was hoping to watch him in the tournament but it's not televised and looks like it's not even streamed online. I know I'm saying that like he already made it past the camp, but he probably will. I'd really like to see Nasty pull it off in this camp, how did he play?

Agree. He was easily the best defenceman on the ice in the past 2 days.
I'm clueless why isn't Kerby on this team he got 41 goals last season on an average Spitfires team and he's big with a physical edge..I think the coaching staff should give there heads a shake.

Nurse was extremely impressive one of the best defensemen out there. Ritchie, Horvat & Drouin had very good games for Team Red. Duclair had the best showing on team white. Liked what I saw from Ekblad, Bowey and Theodore. And MacKinnon looked strong, very quick. MacKinnon, Drouin and Klimchuk line looked very good!
Most notable name not making the roster was Aaron Ekblad, didn't have his best camp but I still think they made a mistake on this one. Also Spencer Martin as well. All the goaltenders were strong so it was basically a toss up after Fucale. Bigras making the team was not much of a surprise as he played well and deserved a spot.

what's interesting is post #3 on this thread . Maybe Ekblad new he was being kept for next year and subconsciously played the way he played? I don't really know but that was an amazing forecast. Make's me wonder! I don't understand though... you can't play twice in the U18?

Ekblad would be eligible to play twice due to his age. Next year will be only 1996's. So playing this year as an underager would still allow him to play in the next one. It's understandable if they're interested in seeing players who are closer to making the U20's. Who knows, HC makes the tough decisions and they are successful on most occasions. Its tough picking from this group because many players could have made the team.

that's what I thought, what I mean by "I don't understand" is why the other user in the other thread (cant remember the username) said he would not make it because they're keeping him for next year, while he can play in both years. I guess it's just a coincidence making a wild guess and ended up being right for the wrong reason.
if someone finds a link that streams this tournament, could you please please please post it? There's got to be something somewhere, even if it's not english, who cares.
Ekblad was awful...so awkward.....extremely worried....
He wasn't that bad. He needs to work on his skating and speed, but he did fine for an under age player. Don't forget Nurse-Ekblad were the pair against Mackinnon-Drouin, most of the time. He could of been considered in the top 7 (bottom 7). But I agree, he did not over power anyone or was better than the first 2 pairs of D. Hence, to next year!
IMO, an underage player, must crack the top 2 lines, or wait your turn.
I'm not worried, he has a bright future ahead of him.
I did not get to see any of the tryouts and I noticed Stephen Harper was cut from the team. I know he was not considered one of the top players there but he has a lot of potential, did anyone see how he played?
CZE 6, CAN 4, goals: Domi (2), Reinhart and Grégoire. 4 goals for Canada in the 3rd period.
they were down 5-0 in the 3rd... I know this means absolutely nothing, except maybe good news showing that Canada found their groove after 2 periods. I guess that's why you have exhibition games in the first place.
lets keep our fingers cross, FIN have a lot of character, and will be a hand-full. Who ever wants it to most is going to win.
4-0 would indicate total dominance over the FINNS. I thinks FINNS surprised a lot of team in this Tournament and Team USA really had a rough go with a horrible record. I've gotta check their roster and see if they had some big guns missing or something.

ya Canada was getting stronger and stronger as the tournament was unfolding, I would've like to see all team carry their best players.
