That's not the issue, though. Given how defense development takes quite some time, it's entirely possible that by the time they're ready to take y'all to the Promised Land, some of the Big Four could be on third contracts (depending on how the second ones work out). And that's before considering the whole "they're prospects, bad things can happen there" angle (where is Peckham on the depth chart over there, now? Where was he before?).

Not that that means Edmonton is doomed to horrible failure... but there's (some) cause for worry IMO.

Pecks is still pretty well in the same spot.

He always been a 5/6 guy on an Elite team. Before he got concussed real bad in a fight I'd have said he could be a Matt Greene style minute muncher if everything turned out right.

A lockout would be fantastic for Peckham actually, allow him to get his grit back in gear against some softer opponents.
