I'm going with 20/20 assuming he plays a full season. Anything more and I'd be pleasantly surprised.

It is an awesome name for such an act in my opinion! And a pretty good name for that line.

Canadians should have got it since they have the same phrase in their law as well.

I think 20/25 for 45pts is a fair prediction. He'll probably have stretches where he looks really dominant, then others where he's fairly quiet. Either way, there's no doubting his upside, he's going to be a great all around player very soon.

Hartnell-Briere-Simmonds

I am not crazy about breaking up hartnell and giroux but claude is so good that I think he will make anyone on his wings better. I think Schenn would excell just like hartnell did last season.

Plus I wanna give briere all the help he can in order to get to were he was before last season. He had very good chemistry with Hartnell in the past so they might be able to rekindle some of that. Simmonds and Hartnell could give briere a ton more ice space to operate.

thoughts?
I don't think having Hartnell and Simmonds on the same line will be a great idea. They both like to get in the dirty areas in front of the net. I don't see that working with them both on the same line. I really do want to see Schenn play on Giroux's wing a little, though. Maybe they can try something out like,

not really sure if Voracek could play the LW spot.

Hartnell - Giroux - Schenn
Voracek - Briere - Simmonds

They played together last year for a couple of games. The powerplay clearly works with them both together because Hartnell has one hell of a shot and is allowed to roam. Simmonds did all the lugging last year infront of the net.

I think Voracek's name is clearly pencilled in to that top line slot this year. He is going to take Jagr's role, and I don't think there is a better player on the team to do it.

Ah I would not go that far just yet. However if Brayden continues to improve I think he will be even better than Mike. Bigger, stronger and what 20-21! And it looks as if he is fine in the room with the other guys.

I agree 100% This move will force Jake to grab more goals. Giroux is going to love this move. Hartsie better have his head on a swivel.

Richards is one of the smartest players ive ever seen play. Pronger is too. When the athleticism goes that quality can keep you in the game. Schenn is impresive physically but he still doesnt see the game like others do.

I also want to see schenn center a line first before we anoint him as the next mike richards.

If he can stay injury free this year B Schenn explodes 30/30 60 pts or more and if he gets to play with good linemates too.

I disagree with the last sentence. Schenn has been a dynamic playmaker at every level, in virtually every aspect you could want, dominating non-professional teams. He has a very high hockey IQ. It was his first year. His vision will make the necessary adjustments. He's not a Giroux type pass play maker, but he's no slouch.

He had 315 points (116g/199a) in 224 games down low. Almost a 1 to 2 goal : assist ratio. He can make plays and has solid vision. Perhaps his injury took away this year from seeing how slick he can be.

Richards is a bit undersized but his hockeyiq makes up for it. He's very smart, like you said. Schenn is much more of a physically dominating player. He will probably make less Richards' like plays because rather than having to out read a play and respond brilliantly, Schenn can simply physically control the play. Schenn's hockey IQ will be less noticeable, because it will look less cerebral.

You probably won't see him jump passing lines in open ice like Richards, but rather physically attack and disrupt the play by making the puck mover react / force the issue.

agreed. Personally I think that Schenn will be a better player than Richards. Thats a pretty bold statement, but he has everything that Richards had and more when he entered this league.

I always felt that Richards struggled greatly when he was thrust into an offensive role. Evident by his last 2 seasons in flyers colours. Thats one thing I think that Schenn will excell in.

I'd be satisfied with 45 points. But with Schenn he brings a lot more to the table then just points. I can see him being top 10 in forward hits if he plays the full season. I'm more excited to see how Schenn develops in year 2 than Couts.

I definitely have higher expectations offensively for Schenn. With the opportunity he's being given (assuming her gets a full season of second line, 2nd PP unit time, I would have to expect he'll produce more than 45 points.

I really wish we had done more to allow Couturier more offensive opportunities, but as is, he'll have to log a ton of PK/defensive zone time again due to lack of viable alternatives at C.
