Tampa Bay Lightning 2012 Prospect Rankings - #1

I noticed some of the other team boards were doing prospect polls, so I thought it would be interesting to see how Lightning fans rank our prospects. Vote for the prospect you think will be the best, and have the most impact at the NHL level!

Tell me who I should add on to the next poll as well.

I went with Andrei Vasilevski. To me, he has the highest ceiling of all our prospects.

Add Riku Helenius.

I voted for Vladdy because he seems to be the safer out of him Vasi. They're the two I consider the top.

That's what helped make my decision between the two as well.

I set the poll for 2 days. Should I make the next one longer/shorter?

Went with vasilevskiy, he is the future. I'll just parrot everyone else and say add Helenius. Isn't it great that there's no clear number 1? You could make arguments for 4 or 5 different players

Went with Koekkoek, impressed me at camp, he'll be on our top pairing soon. Add Korobov, Helenius, Gusev, T. Richard. Wow, we have a lot of good prospects.

Voted Vasilevski mainly because of the condition of "most impact at NHL level". An elite goalie will have more of an impact over an elite skater due to the fact that hes always on the ice.

I would have picked Kucherov or Panik as a skater though. Both have the ability to be HUGE if the cards fall the correct way.

And since you can only add one player, Id say add Helenius as well.

I went with Vasilevski also, thought he way I came about it was different.

What is the players ceiling? Top 3 goalie in the league>Number 1 center.

What is the likely hood of him reaching it? Namestnikov>Vasilevski

Importance of position based off of depth chart? Vasilevski>Namestnikov

How far away are they from impact? Namestnikov>Vasilevski

Overall it was a toss up, so in the end I picked Vasilevski just simply because a top 3 netminder is more important than a legit number 1 center. At least in my mind.
