Collective Board Standings Predictions (Western Conference) #1 TIEBREAKER
I'm only going to include the two teams that are currently tied for the lead in the other thread, Vancouver and Los Angeles. Hopefully those who voted for St. Louis or other help to swing this thing in one direction or the other.

Kings again. Dominant team. That is all.

I'm going to end this tiebreaker tonight probably, so we can actually make some forward progress on that conference that HF doesn't care about.

If I have to pick, Canucks. Kings are a good team but it's just too easy to pick the Stanley Cup Champs #1.

Or it's too easy to pick the President's trophy winner from the past two years.

The only issue the Kings have is that some of their top 4 defensemen are getting older.
Everything else is so solid: great top 9, great top 4 for now, great goaltending. Some cap room and even a few prospects on the way.
They're almost like the 2010 Blackhawks, but without the necessary blowup afterwards.

Well yeah. I mean, how often does a cinderella team like LA win the cup and then go on to dominate? Canes fans know that all too well. The Canucks though have proven that they're good over the long haul, but suck when the pressure rises.

I don't think we can forget the impact Darryl Sutter had on turning the team around. He made a 15-14-4 team a 40-27-15 team. I agree it might have been a little surprising, but I wouldn't say they were the typical 8th seed "pushover" either.
I'm just not feeling the Canucks this season. Maybe it's the improvements in the division.

Voted for the Blues, but I picked the Kings.

False. Once you are dead and buried you will not be able to say anything at all about Canadian franchises.
