So you're saying there's a chance?

I tried to involve them in a trade that improves them in goaltending, speed, and youth, but it seems that there is no point in moving them for anything, as the holes theybleave can't be filled.
You're missing the important part which is for a return that benefits the Sharks needs. If we could get a young top-6 winger with upside for Boyle, then I'd pull the trigger. If the best we were offered was a third liner and 2nd, then I'd easily pass. Basically, Boyle doesn't get moved unless the offer is something that would help us enough in the future that it'd be worth giving up an elite player now. Clowe, on the other hand, will be moved either for another top-6 winger (who's speedy instead of gritty, for example), for a downgrade in top-6 winger and a third liner, or not at all.

Expendable doesn't mean looking to pawn them off to the fastest bidder.

Vancouver wins this trade
Toronto also gets improved
Sharks get screwed pretty badly.

Come on Toronto fans Kadri isn't that great of a prospect and they get a good goalie in return.
