Sens fan here, but have also been following the Canucks for a good number of years... Here's my take on the roster for next season (whenever that may be).

Sedin/Sedin/Burrows
Higgns/Kesler/Booth
Raymond/Bozak/Hansen
Lapierre/Malhotra/Kassian

(Bottom 6 should be fairly mobile with anyone getting the chance at top 6 minutes when the opportunity arises- except for Malhotra).

Hamhuis/Bieksa
Garrison/Edler
Ballard/Tanev

Schneider
Lack?/ Backup signing

Luongo + VAN's 2013 1st for Bozak, Kadri & TOR's 2013 1st. Would be fair value IMO, although I'd prefer Bozak and Gardiner straight up, forget the drat pick swap.

as the current roster stands, start the season:

D.Sedin H.Sedin Burrows
Booth Schroeder Higgins
Raymond Malhotra Hansen
Pinizzatto Lapierre Weise

Hamhuis Bieksa
Edler Garrison
Ballard Tanev

Schneider
Luongo

replace Schroeder with Kesler when he is back.

Few Canuck fans would deal Hansen for Clowe. Doesn't seem to be any consensus as to who is more valuable between the two.
I hate Bolland, but there is little doubt in my mind he would make this team A LOT better, especially come playoff time.

Hansen is a great 3rd liner, clowe is a decent 2nd line. I think their value is close, but clowe worths a bit more. With that said I am big hansen fan, so I would rather move other pieces for clowe.

No Doan makes me depressed.

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Higgins - Kesler - Booth
Raymond - Schroeder - Hansen (I guess it'd have to be a speed line)
Malhotra/Weise - Lapierre - Kassian

If the team plays more like they did two years ago and less like last year, it could work.. I really hope they add someone though. Higgins on the third line and Raymond on the 4th would make a world of difference.

Hansen already scores at a 2nd line clip despite the heavy lifting he does defensively. He probably deserves some consideration as a 2nd line RW but he's really effective in the role he's in.

I'd love to see a Burrows/Kesler/Hansen line.

From the looks of it, most agree on the Canucks back end. Little discussion needed there. Up fron is a puzzle and futher buggered up with Kesler's injury.

D.Sedin - H.Sedin - Burrows
Booth - Kesler - Hansen
Higgins - Lapierre - Kassian
Raymond - Malhotra - Weise

With Ebbet/Schroeder in for Kesler to start the season.

D.Sedin - H.Sedin - Burrows
Higgins - Kesler - Booth
Raymond - Lapierre - Hansen
Ebbet - Malhotra -Kassian

Again with either Ebbet/Schroeder stepping in for Kesler's spot until he returns. Of course a Shane Doan would be great though i'm not holding my breath on that. It'll be interesting to see if Gillis can turn Luongo/Raymond into top 6 winger/3rd line centre help or if he goes the future route.

I'm a huge fan of Kesler/Hansen as well. They always seem to read each other quite well.

the only problem is i see gillis making raymond play top 6 min when he doesnt deserve it. i really hope the amex line is reunited and raymond lapierre and hansen amke up the 3rd line. that would be good for everybody. there are so many possibilities with this lineup its going to be hard to tell. but i like that with so many top talent competing for spots they will all have to perform at the top of there game to keep there roster spot

I wonder if MG would pull a Hodgson on Raymond and try to up his value by pumping his minutes and pp time up? Mayray would have to perform though and in a lockout shortened season it'd be tough to sell teams on him.
