I think that Canuck fans better get used to the fact that Luongo is pretty much not tradeable if you expect any sort of return for him. I remember being ripped on this web site for saying so many months ago. Whoever trades for him is going to absorb a huge contract, you better get resigned to one mid-level prospect or a high second round pick ONLY, unless you take back a bad contract, which is not what Vancouver wants to do.

I'm not a Panther fan but I live near them and Bjugstad is going NOWHERE. He is a rare talent at center with his size.

post #77's proposal is highly laughable.

Luongo for a third round pick...I'll believe it when I see it and that's not happening. Highly laughable.

One of the worst proposals I've ever seen.

Ok, you can find a bunch of mentally challenged sports fans, and that helps in what sense?

Am I the only Nucks fan who would be interested in bringing Bertuzzi back? Call me crazy but I think our fans would still welcome him back and his presence could be good for Kassian.

I never would have thought I would be interested in reacquiring the guy when we let him go but it seems his time with the Red Wings has been good for him.

I'm not comfortable with Bertuzzi coming back. I imagine most feel the same.

I wouldn't be averse to it, and I could see him as being good for Kassian similar to Sundin and Kesler, but I don't see it happening. A Raymond-Bertuzzi swap would make the most sense if it were to happen, though.

Ignoring the fact that I doubt Bertuzzi would want to come back (and that the Canucks would want him back) the media circus would be unbearable. It only appears to have died down because he's playing outside of Canada where the hockey media is - for lack of a better term - insane.

If he came back, it'd be all of the papers again. I don't think he or his family want that kind of attention.

How about a Raymond, Ballard to PIT for Niskanen, Tangradi(or similar)?

Brendan Morrison

i was just wondering if you think morrison could be our 3rd line center. he was really good for us when he played here and now he just isnt being given a chance with his new teams. a couple years ago he had 43pts in 66games while posting a +13 on a bad calgary team. he could fill in for kes while he is out he has the skill set to do so and he can be our 3rd line checking guy.

3rd line of : Raymond-Morrison-Hansen.
they can shut down teams and put up points. i would offer him 1year @ 1mill, then he can retire a canuck

so what do you think would you risk going after him

No, there's a reason why he hasn't been signed yet.

Morrison would have been good as a 4C a couple years ago, but sadly he's now done. I would rather see Schroeder center the 3rd line ( I really don't get why people see this as a huge hole, above our top 6 RW spot).

only if we get Todd Bertuzzi and bring back Markus Naslund out of retirement. Would be kinda cool to see him back in a Canucks uni, but we're not trying to be a middle of the pack team, we're trying to be a Stanley Cup contending team, and I don't see where Mo fits into a team like that and what he brings to the table in that situation.

And even then, it would have to be for the Oldtimers version for a Winter's Classic.

How old is he now? I actually would not mind seeing him as an injury replacement/ mentor type player..the season is long and seems we can use a guy like him at times.
