I hate how people thinking flooding the GTA market with another team in Hamilton and Markham is supposed to magically turn a profit and fix the league
I wish they would do it. Get rid of Phoenix and put a team in Markham or Hamilton and you'll have an instant money maker. Our population can certainly handle 2 NHL teams. I don't think you realize what it's like here compared to the US, even in markets like Philly, Boston, Chicago. It's still a niche sport where up here people will fill the arena every night and there will be a ton of people watching on TV.

Saw some of that at the olympics, some of the US NBA players were wearing Rochester Americans hats, probably have no idea what sport or league they were in and just liked the hat. Unrelated, I'm kinda the same with canadian JR team hats, I have a large collection, while I know players on the flyers who played for the teams hat I have. I do love the old spitires logo when downie was there.
