I wear 93 because of birth year and I just think it looks cool. Plus nobody else ever tries to take it haha

Dougie Gilmour took it before your birth year.

Haha. Good call. Gilmour was awesome. Him and Wendell Clark probably my favorite Leafs...and Tie Domi.

ESPN useless uniform rankings. Vikings 119,Timberwolves 115, out of 122 uniforms ranked.

I think they just have their order backwards. I love the Vikes and Avs jerseys/colors.

Most of their criticisms are actually pretty dang spot-on. For instance, they nailed everything that's horribly wrong with the Ducks' sweaters.

They just don't know what they're talking about with the Vikes. It's a simple, classic look that has barely needed tweaking in their fifty-year history. And almost nobody else in sports rocks the purple. Again, iconic.

I think the current incarnation of the Vikings' uniform is gawd awful. It's hard enough to make purple and yellow look good, but the attempt at a "modern" look is misguided. At best.

Yeah, I like the '70s Purple People Eater uniforms.

When the Vikes wear their currents WITH the purple pants..

Would have been 7 for my favorite player but it was taken by someone with seniority. So I settled on 8! Then 16 when that one was taken from me as well. :-(

I always try to wear #11. I started wearing it because one year two of my friends requested #10 and #12, so I thought it'd be cool. That also happened to be my breakout year so I stuck with it as a good luck charm.

Also, where are these leagues where you guys get to choose any number? When I played youth hockey we had to pick low numbers (like 1-30) and now in the adult league I'm in we're just randomly assigned numbers (usually in the 40s and 50s).

The Twins' jerseys are awesome. At least the pinstripe ones.

As far as ESPN I hate 'em just as the next Minnesotan but I do credit them for ranking Target Field and the 'X' #1 and #3 respectively as best stadium or arena experience in the entire North America.

http://blogs.citypages.com/blotter/2...calls_trag.php

That's not even taking into account TCF which many people in America think is the best stadium in college football. So we basically have three of the best stadium/arenas on the entire continent right here in the TC. That's respect right there.
