There was one scoreless game out of six in the Premier League yesterday. Fittingly enough, it was the one that got shown on ESPN.

Don Mattingly suspended two games for arguing with umpires. I hope he got his money's worth.

Mark Reynolds and Buck Showalter both got ejected from a Friday night Baltimore-Detroit game after a 5-3 putout got overturned (replay clearly showed that the play was made in time and the original call was correct). Reynolds let the umps have it after the game. Maybe instead of punishing the players and coaches and insisting on standing behind their archaic officiating system, the MLB front office should look to see if they, you know, have a point?

Bad officiating and even worse suspensions in MLB? I'm shocked ... shocked ....

Im wondering if the MLB is the only league to have the outcome of their championship changed by an obviously blown call? (And I hate the Cardinals, for the record, but it still sucks that they lost that way...)

(Im guessing Sabres fans would argue that it isnt, but even if Hulls goal is waved off, the outcome is still in doubt..)

OK, I have a ton of Titans on my fantasy team. Expect Britt, Johnson and Bironas to go on the IR for a long time. LOL

I still don't know why the scoring judge desk in the NHL doesn't have, like, a small display or an iPad or something so that the refs can watch what the video judges in Toronto are looking at when a play goes to review. Y'know, take a proactive approach to making sure the right call was made. It's a tough job, after all.

I would suspect it's because of some sort of 'independent review'/'integrity' thing, except they're talking with the refs the whole time that they're reviewing, so that's already silly. Heck, if they're asking him about details during the play, that could speed up the review process.

I found that a little funny myself. I was enjoying watching Liverpool get beat up on. Time to finally see Everton play their opener in 12 hours against ManU. Come on Blues.

Jake Locker is officially the starter. Very good decision, let him go through his growing pains this year, doubtful that the Titans will make the playoffs with either QB.

Love it, I think even with Locker's growing pains, having his mobility under center helps CJ, which obviously helps the entire offense.

Very exciting time for the Titans, so many young guys are ready to take the next step. Locker, McCarthy and Klug are three that i'm really excited about who could lead the way this season.

I thought they had to win two more. One for the U.S. part of the championship and then the final game against the world division winner?

'We are going to have to wait for the results of an x-ray.'

Yeah, that was like the fracture Ed McCaffrey got on Sept 10th on Monday Night Football.

That Mariani injury blows big time.

But Locker and Wright showed us a look at the future last night, Jake certainly got off on the right foot and made Munchak's decision look pretty good... at least for one pre-season game.

Also per my last post on the Titans... Colin McCarthy!!! He's the Shea Weber of the Titans.

McCarthy is a beast, the entire linebacker group looks really really solid.
