Exactly.I only quoted from the other poster. Ryan has not lived to his high expectation after his first two seasons. He settled down to his 30 goal 60+ point player.
Except the first 2 years he got top PP time and had 44 PP points in those years. The last 2 years he only had 21 points on the PP combined.
When he gets top PP time he will be a 40-40 guy easily.
what happen, I mean why he does not have more PP, is there something wrong between him and the management ?
Some bum named Selanne gets to be on the top PP unit... and the 2nd PP unit is basically just some guys+Bobby that the coach trusts enough not to completely embarrass themselves out there so the top PP unit can get a breather.

Cue the, "well if Ryan were better, he'd get more PP time" statements.
He's 42. He was also the 8th best player in the NHL in power play points, last year, and he's a future hall of fame power play specialist. Why is this even a point of contention?
If he was a legitimate first liner capable of 40-40 like you guys say he'd surpass Teemu on the PP.
Those weren't numbers for right wings I posted. Those were numbers for every player in the league. Using your criteria of needing to surpass his numbers there has been exactly ONE RW who could be considered a legitimate 1st line player in the entire league the last two years (MSL 2 years ago, nobody last year).
You should try staying up past 10pm some time to catch some of the west coast players before they retire.

Well, that's just not true. I don't think you know enough about Teemu's game. Sure, he has aged, and it shows (to a lesser degree than basically anyone could expect) in certain areas of the game. It certainly does not affect him on the powerplay. His experience and offensive instincts make him one of the very best players in the game today on the PP, in my opinion. There's very little reason to suggest that Ryan could not possibly add that non-amazing number of points on the powerplay that would take him to those levels.
IMHO, Ryan today is worth more then Subban, that is for the ducks. I would be really surprised if they'd trade Ryan for Subban straight up. But potential wise, I think that Subban has what it takes to be another Karlsson.
Keep in mind that the Habs management is not letting Subban play as the Sens let Karlsson play. Habs are trying to make him better defensively as the Sens seem to let Karlsson play as he wants. Therefore, Subban is probably better then Karlsson defensively, but isn't given the opportunity as much as Karlsson to play offensively. But only time will tell if Subban is as good or better then Karlsson and if he is as good or better, then he is definitely worth more then Ryan.

I don't think he could post a 70 point season, Him and Karlsson are too huge talent, but Karlsson has way more smarts. But you're right, P.K. Has been used on a shutdown pair all year. With a better defense this year, he should rise to top 10 in points. Look for 40-55 production, while still being a 26-28 minutes D.
You guy's don't get my point on Teemu/Ryan. I know Teemu is one of the best to actually play the game on the PP.. (FYI, I was on strike at school(If you ever heard of a strike in canada's college that's me..) and I watched atleast 2 games a day, I've catched most of Anaheim's game, since I love Perry's play.)
Ryan is a good Winger, very good. But much like Nash he's been overrated with all those non-sense rumours. Still an asset to have. I just don't think he could be the go to guy.. Maybe it's just because I don't like the kid.. I don't know. I'm just not feeling it.. He has superb hands, Nice shot, Nice passes... I don't know..

Facts are overrated. Let's debate feelings and vibes instead.
