Theo Peckham isn't needed for the Flyers. The Flyers need Max Talbot right now more than they need Theo Peckham.

Edmonton has an excess of both #7 d-men and 4th line forwards right now. Talbot would be an upgrade on the 4th line... but it would just confuse matters further.

I like Peckham, but you're grossly underestimating how much the Flyers value Talbot. He's a fan favorite (whew, that feels weird saying that...), a hard worker, and a big part of the locker room leadership.

Talbot's worth more, but IMO Peckahm is a very intriguing player. Enforcers who can play are very valuable, and he's just coming off his 23 year old seaoson so it's not like he isn't getting better still. I think Peckham is needed more, but if i were to move him this is the kind of deal i would be looking for.

The Flyers aren't looking for defense that plays low pairing on a leass than inspiring Edmonton D. Certainly not @ the cost of a Talbot.

Of course this is the kind of deal you'd be looking for. It's a huge overpayment benefiting the Oilers.
I'd love a deal giving the Oilers Shelley (Edmonton could use some muscle) for Eberle.
Neither would happen.

Is there a better way to make that point than to suggest the difference between Eberle and Shelley is the same as the difference between Peckham and Talbot?

Cmon brah.
