Got a question for you guys, hopefully one of you is really good at Excel. My boss wants me to make a spreadsheet where there are 6 columns, with the value of each column in the header row of that column (see below for example), and they want the last column to be an autosum (that final column should be merged, that is where the autosum would be located). So for example, the table would look like this:

012345TOTAL
 x
   X
    X
  X

Each row would only have 1 X. So, using the above table, each X represents that number value at the top of the column. So in that example, the autosum value should be 10. So my question is this: is there a way to get those X's to autosum in the TOTAL category? Or do you have to use numbers only for autosum to work?

Not sure if this is possible or not but any help is greatly appreciated.

Staying on the topic of hair, any of you guys know of any products that make and keep your hair smooth and/or shiny (for thick, long hair)? My hair always dries up, even if I use conditioner.

If 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 is in cells A1 to G1 with H being total...
Try this formula
=INDEX($A$1:$G$1,1,MATCH("X",$A2:$G2,0))

A1 to G1 are your numbers. The first 1 says to look at Row 1, which is obviously the 1-6. Match looks for the "X" in the row with the X's.

Got an error. In the table though, there are 4 different rows, so I would need the sum to be from, in the example, A1-G5. Again, thanks a lot for the help.

Your example is correct and almost exactly what I need. The only thing I need different is that (again, using your example) i need cells H2, H3, H4, and H5 to be merged (I don't need individual row totals), and I need the value of that merged cell to be what you have in H6.

Try this. I used a sum(if( instead. You have to hold CTRL+Shift then hit enter to enter the formula (it's an array). Also don't merge the cells otherwise it won't work.

Follow these instructions:

Where it says on the top, "bing home social tv video games music apps settings" slide over to "games"

Then go to game marketplace.

Then on the top it says, "picks spotlight games add-ons avatars demos extras". slide over to "demos"

Hit new releases. Then it's right in front of your face.

No, it's not available apparently -- I tried that and everything else I could think of. It must be down for some reason.

So I installed the demo. Put my Xbox in a backpack. Took it to another house. Now, the Devils have been replaced by the Sharks, I can't play a game, and Niemi is a blue blob in free skate.

I don't know what the worst part about that is

1. It not Boyle
2. Boyle doesn't have "soft hands"
3. "soft hands" just sounds wrong

So since the demo just came out, what are the settings that you usually play with be it NHL 12/13. I have Authentic puck size, authentic puck shadow, classic view, and I play with the attribute effect all the way up.

This makes good players (ie; Stamkos, Crosby, Gaborik, Ovi, ect.)stand out more and I think that it makes for a more realistic game. The guys with speed can break away from the play, and players skill is more evident . This may be changed by the new skating engine, but this was the most realistic that I could make the game before.

When the full retail version comes out this will be my go to settings

I know Bleacher Report isn't liked around here, and I understand why, but I was just accepted as a writer on Bleacher Report. It'll greatly expose my writing and I, unlike many writers on that site, know what the **** I'm talking about, even if you may disagree with my opinion.

I'm so happy.
