Mtl - Winnipeg (E.Kane)

Mtl:
E. Kane

Win:
Gionta
Bourque
2 Second round picks

Mtl does this because although I have hope that the Habs can make it, I look at the team on paper and it doesn't look better than last year. We basically only have some place to sign Subban and Bergevin said if it needed, he'd make a move to open some space for maybe another signing. Yes Gionta is a great player, but it's time to move on. Bourque also unloads us from his salary even if he didn't have the time to prove himself very much. E. Kane provides what Pacioretty can offer plus more physicality and better hands. Gallagher or Leblanc would take Gionta's spot on Plek's RW. We'd also ask for a guarantee that he signs with us

Win does this only if the rumors that E. Kane doesn't want to resign there are true. They'd get E. Kane scoring back with Gionta and Kane physical play with Bourque and adds secondary scoring with him for a playoff run. Gionta also provides a solid 2-way game and can play on the PK. Also brings leadership and stanley cup experience in a playoff run. The 2 second round picks can be 2 high ones as one is Mtl's and the second one is either Calgary's or Nashville's. And it's a deep draft.

I think it's somewhat a fair offer but I'm aware that Kane is highly valued so don't be mad. I know he's not available until it's 100% legit that he doesn't want to be in Winnipeg.

Awful for the Jets.

Two overpaid players and 2 picks for one of the premier PWF's in the game.

The Jets pass pretty easy on that. It's a case of quantity doesn't equal quality.

Not even close to enough for Evander Kane.

The Jets have no reason to trade a top power forward for an aging, overpaid winger and a lazy, overpaid winger. The 2 2nds aren't even enticing when added to Gionta and Bourque.

Also, you're going to have to pony up that 1st rounder. If you want Kane, there's no way around it.

Is it really that bad of a deal? Considering what Gionta xan offer when he's healthy (and he will) + 2 possible high second rounders in a deep draft + a sure 20 goal scorer in Bourque. What would you guys ask then. plz take in account the context.

p.s.: not trying to disrespect the Jets fans

This may be the worst E. Kane proposal that I have seen yet.....and there have been some really bad ones before.

This is like the Jets giving you Antropov, Hainsey, and 2 second round picks for Pacioretty.

I saw the 2 players you offerened and laughed at the deal thinking it initially said 2 first round picks. 2 2nd's is just an insult.

Absolutely horrible for the Jets.

Ask yourself this: if the Habs had Evander Kane, would you trade him for a 33 year old Gionta, an overpaid, underproducing Bourque, and two 2nd rounders?

No, you wouldn't.

Very typical quality for quantity proposal. Boy people never learn. Easy pass for Winnipeg.

No offense but yes it is bad for the jets.

If the Habs want Kane its going to cost Pacioretty or Subban or Galchenyuk or a package + 1st and at that point i dont think the Habs do this. And im saying that as an Habs fan.

It would have to be Subban + to get Kane out of Winnipeg.

If E.Kane wants to leave yes. If you guys are going for the playoffs, yes. Gionta is always around 25+ when he has a full season which he probably will. Bourque is lazy, but still brings scoring on the table. How about we swith the 2 seconds for a 1st ?

I love both teams but there's no way in Hell I'd see the Jets doing this. It would be robbery for Montreal.

No No No No NO!

If there was any truth to E. Kane wanting out, do you think Winnipeg would accept this offer? Do you not think that 29 other teams would beat that in a second?

I think the Typo was "Gionta,Bourque and 2 2nd rounders"...it should have read Subban.

No need to be a douch. I admitted my proposal was wrong like everybody said, no need to rub it in my face. I even said before everyone else that I didn't want to offense Jets fans if it was not a good proposal.
