Yakupov with infection in leg after treadmill fall

From Matheson, apparently the infection kept Nail out of Perry Pearn's today. Hope it's nothing serious. Infections are a weird thing to get in your leg.

It would be cool to watch him go at it with Hall et al.

Only on the Oilers would falling off a treadmill lead to further illness/injury.

This does not sound good. Hopefully some antibiotics and he is good to go. Infections can really mess with u

Already an Oiler.

Brutal. I hope some antibiotics clear this up quickly and there are no lasting issues.

I would have laughed at that, but three days ago a woman here in the UK was awarded a pile of cash because she injured herself loading poind coins onto a trolly

Just as a question but why would hockey players RUN full tilt on a treadmill?

Wouldn't it be far better to opt for a considerable incline to build leg, quad strength?

I always find an incline to be a far better workout and more suitable to training the legs for skating.

People seem to want to spint top speed on these things which is kind of pointless with no resistance and it doesn't really give you the same workout as normal running. Use an incline however and a treadmill becomes a useful workout.

Not too bad. I was expecting the jumbotron in Minnesota to fall on him after he was drafted.

Sounds like a sensationalistic overreaction from Matheson.

Seems like the only type of reaction he has these days. I put his level of journalism somewhere around the level of Eklund.

Why would you run to build leg strength?
treadmill is about cardio. Full speed and intervals to build your wind I would guess.

That would have been terrible luck since the draft was in Pittsburgh.

Might as well trade him, We don't want another Hemsky on the team

Hope it isn't serious and he recovers quickly.
