Damnit

Injury prone already

As it's already preordained that he'll be making 7 million dollars at the end of his ELC contract regardless of whether he earns it or not, it's disappointing that he's already destined to be permanently injured and not worth the money we are required to pay him.

Finally get some 1st overall picks and 2 of them are already cripples, and the 3rd gets roughed up by painted lines on the ice. This is obviously punishment for having the only player in history to score 200 points in a single year - multible times.

Overreaction much?

It's a leg infection. Last we've heard he still has his leg... they haven't amputated yet. He'll be fine.

The article says an infection in his legs... how the hell do you get an infection in both legs (I assume it's both as it says legs) from just falling off a treadmill. Certainly hoping it's not something more serious that's not due to just the fall.

I knew that crazy #64 was a poor choice.

You must read the main forums a lot, where absurdity is the new normal.

Wow that's some bad luck, hopefully they do a better job of sanitizing everything in the future assuming that that is where he picked up the infection.

Yes sir.

Old man falls.

Edmonton
An old man fell yesterday while he was trying to throw his tv out of the window. Apperently there was baseball on the tv and the older man for no apperent reason went completly mad. Just as he hurrled the tv outside he slipped up felt on his back and according to doctor Herman Pskowski he suffered a mark on his shin. He didnt have to operate, however Pskowski says its to early to say if it will leave a permanent mark.

The paper have tried to reach Thegreatone as the man was named, but so far havnt been able to establish contact. Our sources tells us he is up and running again madcrazy as ever.

Here is another reason not to bring the fist pump camera back to the games next year, since no players should take part in that dangerous activity.

Likely scenario: a foam roll falls into Corey Potter's path as he casually strolls through the gym. Watching the menacing roll bounce towards him with a blank stare, Potter - inexplicably - launches himself into an adjacent treadmill. Potter saves himself from the horror of colliding with the roll but adds yet another 1st overall draft pick to his ever growing list of victims.

Hopefully he skates better than he runs on treadmills.

Better stick to the bike from now on Yak. These North American treadmills are far to complicated.

untreated staph infection are another story.

I speed walk or slow run with uphill resistance.

You think a 9-15% grade isn't also about cardio? I would say its a far more intense cardio work out at even moderate speeds and one that also helps build muscle through the resistance.
Personally I'm a hiker so I love that uphill gradients get me ready for the trails and I can stay intune.

Running a treadmill on level is a worse workout than just going outside and running. I can never comprehend why people do it. Go outside. No need to go to a gym to run level track in Edmonton. If there were mountains around here I'd never need a treadmill either. The river valley hills aren't nearly enough elevation for me.

Presumably people workout for their health. Try using gradients. You won't regret it. Less Injury, better workout, and more conducive to skating or crosscountry skiing imo.

I always find an incline to be a far better workout and more suitable to training the legs for skating.

People seem to want to spint top speed on these things which is kind of pointless with no resistance and it doesn't really give you the same workout as normal running. Use an incline however and a treadmill becomes a useful workout.
I'd assume it was at the end of a day workout and he was just burning off the last bit of energy he had.

edit: Nevermind just read the article. Said he was doing it prior to the Monday skate.

Maybe it was after seeing Hall's contract flash up on TSN. Probably figured he'd be making $10M a year when his contract is up.

Did anyone step on his head when he was down? No? It's not the worst one then.
