You gotta love these 4 year term predictions. They weed out the posters that are truly ignorant and have no idea what they're sayng when they post.

That or they do realize it takes Eberle to UFA and just give the 4 year term to fullfill some fantasy of him being UFA to either give them hope of signing him or to spite Oiler fans. Subtle and childish but not to be unexpected on these boards for sure.

That's what I'm hoping for, and if we're lucky and the new CBA allows it I hope that RNH and Yakupov can get identical or at least eerily similar deals in 1 and 2 years time.

lol No kidding. Hall just signed for 7, why would Ebs sign for any less? Like.. What is the rational reasoning?

My prediction is that eberle either gets the same deal as hall(7,42m) or he signs a 8 year, 49m deal.

I remember seeing something like that too. The $6M AAV seems very logical. Probably for 5-6 years is my thinking. Hall is now the supposed face of the franchise, you can't have 2 alphas.

because Hall is 2 yrs younger. Eberle would be 30 at the end of his contract if he also signs a 7yr extension. Hall will be a UFA at 28.

my prediction 6Mx6yrs for Ebs. No way he gets more then Hall.

ideally EDM signs him to a 3year extension @ 5.5M.
long enough a contract, no UFA years used, still a RFA at the end.

win-win for both sides.
