That's why we play the games in real life. At least I hope we will play actual games

Make sure that Garrioch and Lambert are aware of it.

Oh, you said nobody credible is reporting that? Must've started there.

Don't let it wither! Contact Eklund and make sure that one of Montreal or Toronto is suggested as a destination.

By the way, did anyone see Antoine Vermette's rating in NHL13?

http://mit.zenfs.com/206/2012/08/Ratings_phoenix.jpg

Unless that's a typo, he is a 73. No wonder we only got back a 3rd round pick!

So we got an 83(Dubinsky) and 81(Anisimov), whatever Erixon is, plus a first for an 87(Nash)? NHL 13 makes me feel a little bit more warm and fuzzy about the trade.

In the eyes of EA Sports, the lowly CBJ have five 80+ forwards. The Western Conference Finalist Coyotes have 2-3 (depending on what Doan does).

The lowly CBJ had 3 before the offseason in Nash, Umberger, and Prospal.

Am I missing something here? I didn't read anything that suggested anything definitive was decided. I didn't think he was coming, but what you posted doesn't make me think is more or less likely to occur.

Yes, I didn't read it that way, either. In fact, it was implied that the switch in responsibilities would make it more likely that he would not complete his contract with the Blues.

I agree with all three of you. I think this means once the CBA is settled, if we want him, we'll get him. CBJ won't take on extra payroll while there's no revenue coming in.

I was at work when I read it so I admittedly kind of skimmed it. I took it as he took on a new position so therefore he would be staying with the Lues. Hopefully thats not the case.

That had been my read too, but I saw it in a different article. This one makes it look more like things aren't fully settled. So we'll see.

There is apparently some talk that Oscar Dansk may be traded from Erie and coming over to play in the CHL.

saw this on ticketmaster about purchasing tickets to the penguins game:

"Sales to this event will be restricted to residents within 100 miles of Columbus, Ohio. Residency is based on credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside of this area will be canceled without notice and refunds given. Tickets for this game will be available to those outside of this area beginning Thursday, August 30 at 12:01pm."

Don't know that it will help too much but it's a nice gesture

Smart but there are still a ton of Penguins fans within that 100 mile radius and only restricting through Thursday doesn't help much. If anything they should have restricted sales to that zone until a week before the game.

I'm glad they're doing it to try and DefendNWA.

They're still going to come in droves, though. If they're really desperate, they'll grab them on StubHub or TicketExchange.
