The way the are going they might as well bring back Glen Healy. Imagine the all-star combo Cole with Neale and Healy....WOW talk about things that make you want to puke.
I will say that Steve Armitage is one of myfavourite's he's doing a great job with the Calgary series (I believe it's him. if not whoever that is) and Andy Murray doing the colour is nice to see a RECENT coaches perspective.
but HARRY NEALE GEEZ, it's so obvious when he starts arguing with Hughson who is pretty unbiased.
Neale has always been the same colour commentator year in and year out. I usually find that he will always put a spin on things that is not quite right. It is not a matter of IF he will same something goofy, it is a matter of WHEN.
Suggestion to CBC: TVs now have SAP feed. Offer the option of selecting the play by play crew you want to listen to (where extra crews are available). This way French speaking people outside La Belle Province can select French language play by play. Same deal for English speaking fans. Even better, where there is a second choice for coverage other than Neale et al, you can exercise the option.
Frankly, I'd rather listen to French coverage than Neale. I understand enough to get by in the game (comes from year of having to watch French cable 5 in SW Ont to see the Habs instead of the Leafs).
Well here in Edmonton Garrett is openly cheering for the Wings. So Montreal don't take it personal. We have the D team out here and if you think the A/B team is bad what do you think we have here. Its Toronto or bust with these guys. I would love another 5 years of no Leafs in the playoffs so maybe some of these guys can the bias but I will not hold my breath. For those in Toronto who don't think there is a bias for the leafs in the broadcasts, listen to the games in the regular season and see if they cheer for the other teams and listen to them in the leafs score. I dont hate the leafs just that HNIT slant.
By the way I had the luxury of listening to NBC and listening to the best guy the CBC had, Chris Cuthbert. I think the reason he is no longer with them is he did not have a pro leafs bias. All I remember is the Olympics and him screaming "WHAT A GOAL, JEROME IGINLA" That one announcement is better then every good announcment Cole and Neale have said combined.
