Good to hear that Kuptsov is on board, I think it was a smart move by Burnett and hope to see this kid given a chance on the right side with Gaunce and Zharkov. So much size, speed and talent on one line would be a nightmare for the opposition.
You won't see those 3 on a line together IMHO as they're all lefties and Kuptsov will have to prove himself to make the first line. I'd say a power forward with proven numbers like Brassard would be up on the right wing on the first line.
The forward units this year are basically already set, but the defence is where George must upgrade, right now we have
Shaw-Worrad
Subban-Austin
DeSousa-Bignell
if Silas comes back, he will be a calming influence but the fans here really get on his case, mostly for not shooting the puck enough. So it really wouldnt surprise me if he gets dealt, look for Bignell also to get traded.
PLEASE PLEASE Simmonds can not make this team! An OHL organization cannot keep a 19 yr old on the 3rd or 4th line that scores 3-5 goals a year, can't work the pp or pk, doesnt fight and us fans call him the human zamboni, cause he spends more time on the ice than on his feet,HA HA! You just cant keep a guy like that taking ice time away from rookies IMO. Hopefully George tells Gord than his son should be playin with Wellington this year.

Look forward to this week, the training camp roster will be announced. IMO what the bulls are lacking in the past say 5 years, is a David Silverstone, David Clarkson type player, a gritty hard-nosed good skater maybe alittle reckless at times but that kind of player that fans love.
If Lemmon learns to drop the gloves a little bit better then I'm sure he would be able to fill that role. Everything he hits someone, you feel it in the crowd. hopefully george gives him more responsibility this year.

Well, Clarkson is a big guy so size wise only Sandlak of the 2 would physically fit that role. But Lemmon has more creativity and skill than Sandlak so he'd be able to get more points up on the board in the process.
When Lemmon came into the league, there was much hype about him. I know there is an adjustment period but he looked no better at the end of the season than the beginning. At the rookie camp i thought i'd see a new Mack Lemmon but i was wrong, the same old weird skating style and the same gentle dump in. Yes he hits and hits hard! But he game has yet to impress me and many other fans.
IMO we'll see a break-out season for Carter Sandlak
Love Lemmon's energy he brings to the team. I think he can be a useful player if utilized right by Mr. Burnett. Hope Simmonds goes to Wellington as that his more his skill. Sad to see Corson go but its probabily for the best. I really thought Coric played well in camp and deserves a spot if there are any available. I wouldn't mind Bignell, Morris and Silas gone this year. Jason Shaw surprised us all this past season with his stellar defensive play. I really like how he doesn't panic under pressure but his footspeed was a little slow. Hopefully he improved that in the off season. Here is what I could see the top 12 looking like. Zharkov Gaunce Brassard.
Kuputsov Cramarossa Berisha
Sandlak Petti Curtis
Lemmon Hooey Carnevale
Shaw Austin
Subban Worrad
De Sousa ?
There are going to have to be some trades because I know Michael Cramarossa has been told there is a spot for him to lose to we'll see what happens. I could see hooey and maybe Sandlak or brassard getting moved for a Dman
One would think they'd have to sign Michael Cramarossa. He might have some learning to do but look at what he comes from... It's like the Subban brothers. Maybe not the same caliber, but you get the point. He's an intelligent player and I think he'd be a great fit in Belleville. Any thoughts?

I'm not disagreeing with you, cramarossa has skill and a bright future, but at the rookie camp he was not impressive at all, and very invisable for sure. The reason he has not been signed is because George wants him to train hard during the off season and be ready for camp this fall. I've said this before Chad Heffernan was the best player at the rookie camp bar none. So micheal has his work cut out for him.

Cramarossa has a spot based on what he showed over 8 months this year in the GTHL. If you judge a player based on a two day camp, your not givin yourself the proper tools to evaluate him, and your not giving the player a fair chance to impress you.
Im just pumped for this season to begin... Gahhh. Hockey withdrawl is killing me. Would be cool to see Gaunce a bit faster this season too! I think the bulls should do good!

Whoa Tiger, i'm not sayin Cramarossa wont make the Bulls or has no talent, i'm saying those two days at camp he was invisable and looked awful. If he wants to play in the O, he must bring it, not assume because he was drafted high or his last name. George was not impressed with Micheal in that camp either. Thats why he hasnt been signed yet. Just some motivation for the kid. IMO
Im predicting the Bulls will be fighting for the Division lead all throu the season! We have a deep club, add 1 more solid overage, and Malcolm will lead us to the glory land.

I guess he'll have to prove himself at the camp next week. When does it run until? I know it starts on the 29th.

End of day a wide view of a player will be used, not a 2 day window. Thats my point. You seemed to suggest that due to that 2 day window he would be in tough.
As I said, wide views of players are needed, not just a few in house scrimages.

Agreed, like i said for a 3rd rounder he just didnt stand out for me. Hopefully he will show alittle more at main camp. I'm waiting for the camp rosters to be released.
The bulls like drafting brothers.. like all 3 Subban's. To me Cramarossa is over-rated. He lacks explosion and endurance. His first 3 steps leave him behind. He needs to get in better shape to survive the OHL. His shot isnt overwhelming either. To me he was/is over rated all last year playing with superstars. He was gift wrapped a ton of opportunities. Its tough when u watch a team with at least 2 superstars to pick out whats real and who is just hitched to the wagon. Cramarossa is a very average prospect moving forward. In the GTHL at times he was noticed for smaller things like his 2 way play and mindset which kids dont like doing so much in minor. He was good on the draws too. What was seen at camp mentioned above is not shocking to me at all and maybe something that u gotta get use too. Niki Petti has a ton more upside.

Petti was flying all over the ice at the rookie camp, he has unbelievable hands, and a pro shot. The bulls have said Niki will be 100% when main camp opens
what's your expectations for Alex Carnevale? I watched him in a triple AAA tournament 2 years ago, he was pretty impressive, I think he might turn out pretty good for Belleville yet.

I must of bent down to pick up my phone that I dropped cause I think Petti had 2 or 3 shifts before getting injured. How you seen that much in a couple of shifts in a large crowd of dozens and dozens of players is rather miraculous. Takes me many games to discern a distinctive pattern of play/skill, etc. consistently from a player. I'll reserve judgement for all the rookies that have never played against older kids and especially in the OHL. Even if I had watched them play in Tier 2 it still wouldn't be entirely indicative of what they'd do in the O Show. And while no one expects them to come in and dominate against bigger, older and more experienced guys I'll agree that there's good promise with some of them for the future of the Bulls.

Always has been a good, hard-working physical player that has some finishing skills and that's what George took him for. Some players have fantastic tools in one area while other have concrete tools in several areas and that's what I've seen from Alex over many years.

any word on his older brother, I know he played for an university or something after his Ottawa 67 years, I was just wondering how he's liking it.
