Why did you become a leaf fan? Who is your all time favorite player? Explain.

I honestly was a Oilers fan when I was a kid (im 28 now) I was a fan of the Great one, but really loved Mark Messier. My all time favorite (even more then you Stevie Y) And when I moved to a new school and started grade 1, All the kids were huge leaf fans, and me wanting to fit in, asked for a brand new Maple Leaf STARTER PULL OVER JACKET,

We have been happiley involved ever since.

My first leaf game was a 93 playoff game and I wasn't really a hockey fan before that. The experience catapulted me to a die hard and my favourite player is and was Dougie Gilmour.

Grew up cheering for the Leafs. Stayed with them when I was old enough to make my own decision.

I was an oilers fan as a child and cujo was my favorite player and when he went to Toronto I went with him. He was also my favorite leaf

First gift I received in life was a hand made Maple Leaf jumper type outfit made by a Dutch farmer. That's where it started.

Johnny Bower is my favourite player followed closely by Borje Salming.

Immigrated to Canada in 1991 at the age of 5. Die hard fan since 1993-94 (age 7).

I suppose the long playoff run turned me into a fan.

I arrived from Finland in Toronto in 1999 with my family when I just turned four years old. My dad became a big hockey fan when he started seeing Leafs games on TV and I followed along. There isn't no turning back now. Will take the blue and white to my grave!

Came to Canada in 92, started watching hockey as a kid in around 96 and it was the local team loved the Leafs...Grew up at school virtually as the only Leafs fan which makes no sense

I grew up in Winnipeg, so I was a Jets fan until I moved to Ontario 21 years ago. Since the Leafs were the local team, I started cheering for the Leafs (unless they were playing the Jets). Gradually my allegiances changed and I am now a Leafs fan (although I still wish the Jets much success now that they're back).

Pretty much, come from a family that isn't into sports but cricket from my mom's side but when I watched hockey and then the leafs just stuck no matter what. Born a leaf fan and I'll die a leaf fan.


Been with this team from the get go and will be till I die !
