Perfect. Thought he was still RW though. Evens out our prospect competition.

I spoke to Mika today briefly, first off really nice guy, and I asked the exact question center or winger. And he said winger so...... he says hes been flipping around center and winger but feels wherever he fits hell plays. But he says winger first so.........

Sounds fine by me. Love that he has the ability to play either wing, and it is always great to have a guy that can fill in at centre if need be. Can't have too many of those guys around.

Winger gets my vote. With an already solid, young core of centers (Spezza-Turris-Smith-O'Brien) I think he'd be better utilized as winger. I prefer my centers to have more playmaking ability in them than Zibanejad has, who to me is more of a goal scorer.

Personally, I think he'll look great on a line with Spezza in a couple years. His speed and shot will work well. His defensive play is above average.

O'Brien > Zib at playmaking

Gets traded for Evander Kane...

Ken Warren tweeted that Zib will be likely playing left wing in Bingo.

Mentioned on air our LW depth was weak with only Michalek, Regin and Latendress - forgot Greening completely. Also said Silfverberg was a RW. I thought they were the other way around Zib ar RW and Silfverberg preferring the LW even though he is a right-handed shot.

Can anyone confirm which side?

He'll be like Patrick Sharpe - he'll have chemistry with some players as a Center and others at wing, and when there are injuries he'll move around the line-up

I saw this too, I wonder if Coach Mac wants to use Greening as a Center to get bigger there - Turris/Regin is a lot smaller then Turris/Greening

How the **** would Greening play centre? There is no room. He is still going to be a winger.

Regin isn't a centre either.

yes Regin has played centre, buit unless he is the 3rd line C and Smith is the 4th line C, then he's not playing C

Smith will likely be a 4LW and JOB will be the 4C.

I think long-term, this is how things will shake up:

Zibanejad-Spezza-Michalek
Silfverberg-Turris-Stone/Noesen
Greening-Smith-Stone/Noesen
Hoffman-JOB-Neil

Keeping in mind, this line-up is likely 3 years away or so.

Spezza and Michalek are extended, players like Regin, Condra and Daugavins are pushed out by prospects.

When Spezza or Turris are going to get injured who is replacing them?

If it's Spezza, does Turris move up or he stays as a 2nd line centre and someone else like Z takes the spot? or we get a call up of Da Costa?

For a change it seems that a lot of fans are under-rating him.

If he has a good camp, he will be playing wing in the big show.
As a supporter of that 'crappy team' you are refering to, i can say that Mika had a fair share in the teams' performance. I question if he have the head to be a top player in the NHL. You could see it in his face in the interviews after he had come back from the draft. He answered all questions properly, but he just wasnt there.

He's a puckhog with bags of potential. Went from beeing my favourite player, to absolutely hate him. Enjoy him.
