Andrei's family is quite wealthy back in Belarus, I don't see him going for the money in the KHL. as long as an NHL team is willing to give him a contract, I think he'll stay in NA

Wow, those aren't small fries he's hitting as well. I didn't know he was that good of a hitter. Not that it's relevant, but now knowing that Kostitsyn is built like a rock makes me more impressed about Ellerby's hit on him last year.

I hope Pittsburgh signs him. 20g 45point guy who can hit and can get him for like 3.5-4 million.

Would make a nice fit on the Ducks. Boudreau said the team is still looking for a winger to compliment Getzlaf and Perry.

He was offered 2M/2Y by Pens. Said I'll wait till Doan and Ryan are over.

Canes, Bruins, or Penguins

I would definitely take him back with the Habs as the new team of coaches would be able to get the best out of him and also make him feel wanted.

However, I doubt that Bergevin will risk taking him back, even on a 1 year contract....our loss that I feel will make either the Canes or Bruins happy winners of possibly the sleeper of the 2012 UFAs. Muller got the best out of him and Julien can easily handle him...

Kostyts has a huge upside and I also would hate to see him alongside Crosby or Malkin...this would bring back the bad memories of John Leclair kicking our ***** after leaving Montreal.

He already said no to a 6M offer from KHL ? HATERS GONNA HATE?
habsterix is the opposite of unbiased when it comes to le frere andrei so i wouldn't really bother

i think some habs fans never quite got over "how good he could be" rather than just appreciate him for what he is.

he was quiet as a church mouse in montreal and hal gill vouched for him to poile, so one bad decision, one late night out with radulov suddenly makes him a trouble maker and locker room cancer?

Source?

Ryan is a trade, if he's waiting on that, he might as well get really comfortable and maybe plan to wait either by the trade deadline or next summer. As for Doan, seriously, not a fan of his at all and I might be one of the very few Pens fans that wants nothing to do with him or his lunatic demands.

Kostitsyn has never played with an elite center in the NHL either. I would guess that if he were to join the Pens and suddenly take on the work ethic of Sid & Geno, he'd be the guy people thought he could be.

I think sometimes, a player just needs to find the right situation to truly blossom. Not saying Pittsburgh is that place, a few have tried and failed, but a guy that has already proven something in the NHL wouldn't be a bad option (a cheaper option).

Well, he played with Scott Gomez no ?

Boy did that kill him.
Each time he played with Plekanec he came up with season of 20+ goals..Altought I don't think he'll ever reach his potential... He was supposed to be a 40 goal scorer.

We never know look at Neil

Not a problem in the locker room? Didn't Poile publicly state they aren't bringing him back specifically cause he was?

lol. Gee, who will I believe, an actual NHL GM who has dealt with him or infatuated Montreal fans on Internet Forum HFBoards???

He hasn't signed anywhere cause no one wants him. KHL here he comes!!

He's not known for being the sharpest tool in the shed... IF what you're saying is true (and I highly doubt it), he's dumber than I thought for not taking it. I'd be shocked if he had an offer in the NHL.

His intelligence levels haven't been documented, so I'm not sure where you're coming from with this absurdity.

As far as him rejecting such an offer: if true, it could simply be due to the fact that he wants to live in North America and/or play in the NHL. Not everyone's driven by money exclusively, and for you to associate intelligence level with the exclusive pursuit of monetary gain is demonstrative of either: a) a lack of financial security; and/or b) a lack of intelligence.

Dynamo Minsk. The best bet.

Drinking and partying during NHL playoffs is an end for your NHL career. Period.
